One of the better places in the Denton area for Birria tacos. The beans could have better flavor but the rice is delicious. This place can get packed during lunch as to be expected, but I’ve never had an issue being sat in a timely manner. Overall a great and reliable spot to curb your appetite.
Best tacos in Denton. Don’t forget the red and green sauces in the squeeze bottles. Great desserts too!!
The tacos Al pastor were ok, the winners were the carne asada and carnitas. The salsas are delicious. The limeade was pretty good. I’ll definitely be back to try other things on menu.
wanted to try a different mexican restaurant friday afternoon and this place is like a 5 minute walk from my place! the restaurant is so small in the little plaza so this place would be super hard to miss driving by.i was craving tacos, so I ordered two of many tacos for takeout to try and wow for the price and how big these tacos were, i may just start ordering here from now on!the red sauce was suuuuper hot (and i love spicy, but this spiciness hit different lol) but i absolutely love the green sauce! i got chicken, pastor, chicharron, barbacoa, and birria tacos. definitely ordering pastor, birria, and chicharron tacos again and this was the first time ive ever tried birria tacos! flaaavorful meat. the barbacoa wasn't as flavorful as i thought and the chicken was a bit on the drier side. both were good however!i would love to come back again to try the rest of the menu. hopefully will stop by another weekend to try the pozole
The most horrible experience in a restaurant.and it is understandable since the owner of the establishment does not have the slightest level of customer service.the food is terrible there are better options in the city to eat real Mexican food
First time coming to this place. Absolutely loved the Birria Tacos. Will definitely be back to try other meals. And I’ll revisit the rating. Great tasting food for the first visit! That’s always a good sign.5/17 Edit: been here various times now, have tried their tacos absolutely delicious with hand made tortillas. Their sopes and gorditas are also delicious. Their chilaquiles and pancakes are also delicious. This place has THE most authentic Mexican food so far since I moved here from California over 10 years ago. I’m also Mexican so I know what real Mexican food is.
Ordered to go. The food was great! Would have had 5 stars but the rice and beans was a little bland. Would definitely go back again to try other menu items.
Disappointed there is not trompo. Got pastor tacos. Beans don't taste like much, but they compliment the rice well. Red sauce was hot AF for this white boy. Good enough for a second trip. Forgot to try the chips and salsa. Will try birria on the next trip as that's what everyone seems to say is so good. May update to 5 stars.
Everything was delicious including the pozole. Don't be afraid to tell them how you want your gordita it comes plain.
I grew up eating Northside tacos in Fort Worth, TX. And have been to at least 30-40 taquerias all over Texas and California. I'd say this def one of the top ten! Their corn tortillas aren't my most favorite, but the meat and overall taste makes up for it! Since moving out here, we go there or order from them every other week or so...
