This is my kind of food!!! Healthy, unique choices. The date aioli sauce for the chicken sandwich is great. My son got the street tacos. I got the black bean tamales!! They were the bomb!!! Drinks were good too.
This was a very nice experience. Everyone enjoyed their food. Everyone seemed to enjoy the atmosphere. It was quiet which was very pleasant. We did not feel rushed. We had a very nice waiter. We were a party of 8 which included a 2 month old. Because we were a party of 8 with our infant 20% was added to our ticket as a "service charge" This was for the people cooking, cleaning tables, etc we were told. That is fine but it needed to be for our waiter also because 20% is enough. We did add a small amount to the 20% but might have tipped better without the "service charge". Sometimes the businesses hurt themselves with these policies. We would go back because it was a nice experience. However we would already be apprised of the "service charge".
Cole provided great service and the food was excellent.I would have given the restaurant a 5 start review, but we had a party of 7 plus a 2 month old. They counted us as a party of 8 and added a 20% service fee, pretax, that we were told was a tip for the cook and the bar tender and that an additional tip would go to the server. I have never been to a restaurant that had a tip for the bartender and cook. We added some tip for our server because he did such a great job, but we did not appreciate the added service fee when there were only 7 guests being served. Our 2 month old baby did not need any service and did not take up any space.Replying to the owner. We asked what the charges were and were told the charge was for a tip for the cook and bartender. It wasn't until after our card were charged that we were then notified that the servers was extra and needed to added on as well. I've never seen or heard of this before, it is a very unusual practice.
Had a pleasant conference dinner gathering here four nights ago. I was in from New York, though originally from the Florida panhandle and was looking forward to some good local cuisine. I was not disappointed with my fine steak and sides. Also enjoyed a delicious Good, Bad and Ugly cocktail, though I picked it completely based on the name/film association and cannot tell you what was in it. Most pleasant part of my entire stay in the Denton area. Thank you!
My son took me to The Greenhouse for Mothers Day. I ordered a salad and the mussels and my son ordered the chicken fried steak. We have patronized this establish on several occasions and the food and service was great. Today we went and the waitress was trying to serve me the salad after I received my entre. She did not even come to the table until the main course was ready. I declined the salad as I wanted it for an appetizer and my son could not eat his meal as it was over seasoned and was mostly breading. We were really disappointed with the whole experience. On the other hand my dogs enjoyed the $17 meal.
The items tasted wonderful. Unfortunately, it took 45 minutes to even get our drinks (tea). Never received the appetizer, said “forgot.” Took 2 hours to get our food, which was luke warm. Staff was abrupt with questions and not helpful. Nope, not super busy, or we would have understood. Not worth the drive.
Dinner Sunday evening, 3/20/22. Right off the bat we were placed in an isolated round corner table and forgotten for 10-15 minutes. Our waitress finally found us and apologized, introduced herself, took drink orders and explained that she is a new employee. She then brought water and took our order. A full 15 minutes later, the waitress delivers meals, makes a quick run for extra Ketchup. When she returns, we point out to her that the portion of grilled chicken on the salad was extremely small, no more that 6 bites for an entire taco salad. She agreed to see what could be done and disappears for 4-5 minutes. She returns with our check and asks if there’s anything more she can do for us and walks away. We were eating and talking and we’re caught off guard and didn’t stop her before she disappeared again. My water glass was completely empty when she walked away. I pulled out my credit card and laid it in the tray with the bill. It was another 10 minutes before she returned again to take the payment. We were ready to go. The experience was not good. Here’s are the issues: 1) we were seated and forgotten 2) never followed up on the small portion of grilled chicken 3) brought the bill when we were eating and disappeared 4) wasn’t attentive our the water glasses To be fair, my burger was fantastic.
Amazing service right from the start. Greeted promptly and host brought out waters right away. Booth was comfy. Our waitress was so kind also. The ginger peach iced tea is to die for. The Blackened Redfish was some of the best fish I'd had in awhile and the steak was spot on perfect! Amazing through and through. Will be back.
This is the first healthy options other dishes that I found on Google in Denton! Delicious pesto chicken gnocchi and bruschetta! Definitely somewhere I’d go after I finish class at UNT!
We love to go hang out. Dinner or just a cocktail or two and appetizer always good night. Food is great and simple.
