4 of us for dinner including an appetizer and a dessert (around $80). Food was okay... we were served not exactly what we ordered from the menu for our entries -- substituted one pasta for another type without notice. Alfredo sauce wasn't as rich as we prefer, but the breaded chicken was delicious. The biggest disappointment was the waitress. Was NOT friendly at all. Might give it another try, but will definitely speak up if we encounter the rudeness of waitstaff again.
Chef Giuseppe prepares food that is good for your soul. I've been pretty depressed lately. I haven't had an appetite and my husband was trying to coax me into eating. I used to work in an Italian chain restaurant and often gush about how much I loved everything we served. He asked me "What's the best Italian food?" My answer was, "Whatever the chef feels like cooking that day." So, to my surprise, he called the restaurant and asked. The gentleman who answered the phone laughed and handed it over to Chef Giuseppe who spoke with my husband for a few minutes. He asked my husband a couple of basic questions- What kind of protein, and what kind of sauce does she like? Chicken, and she likes everything. Chef Giuseppe promised to make something special. Oh my goodness, he wasn't kidding! The bruschetta is mouth watering. It was a lovely balance of his zingy homemade balsamic vinegar reduction, fresh flavor packed herbs, melty cheese, and crisp, perfectly ripe, diced tomato. I could eat a whole meal of nothing but that and be so happy. The creamy pesto based pasta sauce was sensational. I thought I liked pesto. I was mistaken. I love pesto when it's done so well. The sauteed vegetables were prepared with just that hint of char that lets you know it was cooked with lots of love and care. It brings out the natural flavors in the veggies so well! I've also never tasted cracked pepper so fresh and flavorful. The stuff I have at home tastes like ash now. The entree, of coarse, was the chicken. It was prepared with mushrooms and artichokes in a lemon butter sauce. When I tell you I cried when I took the first bite, I'm not even exaggerating. My husband asked how it was and I managed to choke out between sobs and chews, "It's... So... f***ing... Good!" Absolute best thing I've tasted in I can't remember how long. The chicken was so juicy, tender, and again, perfectly charred to really make the flavors explode. Such an exquisite balance of zingy lemon, creamy buttery sauce, and again, very fresh mushrooms and artichoke that give the dish the extra pop of flavor. I can not even express how much this meal meant to me. It's the first thing that's made me smile in quite some time. I ate until I was painfully full and still have some left over for tomorrow. What can I say? It tasted like more! All in all, I stand by my original answer, with a slight modification- The best Italian food is whatever Chef Giuseppe feels like cooking that day. I have no idea what my dish was called, but it was absolutely art, made out of food, that really cheered an overworked mom up.
I thought this place would have been much better. It claims to have Italian authenticity... but the food lacks in flavor and proper preparation.Perhaps if they used some proper ambient lighting, gave the interior a new paint-job AND hired a new chef, I would go back.
The menu was very limited and the food was average at best. The appetizers were store bought and heated. Bruschetta was store bought French bread with balsamic vinegar on top which made the bread soggy, not even put into the oven . The mozzarella cheese sticks were frozen and reheated. The entrees tasted as if they had also been reheated from being previously frozen.
We ordered a lot of food (6 different entrees and 3 appetizers) all of which we split. The food had amazing flavor however, it did come out a little too cold for my liking. This place is definitely worth a repeat though.
Although I had been to Giuseppe's several times before, on the evening of Wednesday December 23, my experience was a disaster. We both ordered Vittello Matriagiana which I had ordered several times before. We also both ordered a Caesar Salad. The Caesar Salad was chopped ICEBERG lettuce smothered in mayonaisse or some other very cheap salad dressing. It was not ROMAINE and was not Caesar Dressing. It was absolutely inedible. When the Vittello Matrigiana was delivered, the result was even worse if that is possible. Instead of the usual fine sauces, it was smothered in some kind of salad dressing and totally inedible. Giuseppe's has lost a regular customer and I wiii never return. This was a waste of my time and money. Giuseppe's should be ashamed of serving this slop.
I took my family of four last night. It is pretty cool how it is in an old house. Employees were friendly enough and we were sat quickly. Looking around the room we were in it had that old school charm. But then I looked up at the ceiling fan which had a thick layer of clumpy dust on it! Not very appetizing. Waitress was very nice. Iced water was super filtered (definitely a plus). NOTE: I was military stationed in Italy so everything is compared to that. Ordered a chicken and pasta dish, Tortellini dish, bruschetta, and fried cheese sticks. Bruschetta was just OK. Prepared on a French loaf. Expected toasted French baguette. Tortellini was good but came to the table luke warm. Chicken was tough and on the dry side. Doubt it was brined prior to cooking. Sauces on the pasta and chicken were very good. We are pretty sure the cheese sticks were frozen commercial type. Just OK. Had to ask for silverware and napkins. Had to ask for Parmesan cheese. SUMMARY: decent prices and OK food. Suggest offering guests some form of bread to go with the meal. Still searching for a good Italian restaurant.
Great food, good service, appropriately priced.

Had my rehearsal dinner here and we had 50 people (tight squeeze, wouldn’t recommend having a full 50 but you can make it work). Worked with Giuseppe himself to form a menu of salads, appetizer, 4-5 entree choices, 2 desserts and house wine/beer. Food and service were phenomenal! Loved our experience and would recommend to anyone looking for a home feel rehearsal dinner experience.
