UPDATE: This review applies only to the University Dr location.A year ago I gave this place a five-star rating, this year they receive a one-star rating. I ordered a poor boy sandwich and okra. When I got home, it was a pulled pork sandwich and that's all. I called the store back and attempted some reconciliation and was told they didn't do that. I called Dickey's customer service line and they attempted to get my refund from the owner. The owner declined with no explanation. Dickeys offered me some coupons, a small consolation for what I went through. If you go to the store, you are warned!
Todays order was one of the worst meals we have ever had from Dickey’s. The potatoes were way over cooked and the meat was not moist and tender. The lack of staff may have contributed to the poor presentation and taste. There were 3 employees….manager (slicing, chopping), young man (stuffing the potatoes with no gloves on) and another employee trying to keep up with the drive through demands, moving supplies and being trained by the manager in Spanish which seemed to add to the chaos. All were complaining about not having enough staff. Guess we will move our business to Rudy’s. I plan to post this “review” on the website and Facebook. The staff is so unbelievably rude!!!! The food was Rotten , the potato!!! Called trying to speak to the manager but the staff refused to put them on the phone!!! Spent $25.50 !!!! Want go back & I did contact the health department.
Gave 1 star because you couldn't give less. My daughter just sat in front of the store because she placed an online order for curbside (one of YOUR options) & finally went through the drive-through where they just handed her the food & slammed the window shut without saying a word. I could even hear how rude they were when they were talking through the drive thru speaker while I was on the phone with her.
Stopped by to get gas beside them . I went in for some food and they gave nothing but great food . Truly appreciate the staff there . Nothing but hard workers . Love the restaurant . Definitely worth the money .
We ask for a delivery service for 60 scouts in our big soccer event on Saturday and 50 on Sunday on a holiday weekend, the food arrived on time and warm, was great service
Giant baker with meat loaded is the Best!! Brisket was excellent and service was beyond expectations. Got the pleasure of meeting the owner, very friendly and sweet lady. She wanted to make sure everything was ok in our table. Will go back very soon!
I'll give three stars and assume it was the staff working and not a representation of the whole restaurant. I ordered a Giant Baker w/ meat, the woman asked if I wanted everything on it, to which I answered 'yes'.So apparently 'everything' includes three forks of meat, more cheese on the paper than the potato, and no green onions and no bbq sauce. The green onions I can get over but how do you not include bbq sauce, that's a main staple of a BBQ RESTAURANT.I paid $15 for this dry potato and a tea. There is too much competition in Denton for this to be acceptable.
I have the opportunity to meet the owner and she gave us a 10% discount with the flyer from my Church in Zion Glory !! She was very friendly and this location is very clean !! We love it.
The staff at this dickeys is really great. They always keep us up to date on the best specials when we come in and they are all very friendly. I come here pretty regularly and the food is always awesome too.
