The curbside pick up is non-functional/dysfunctional. I arrived a few minutes prior to my scheduled order time which was 3:45pm. The order tracker on their website said they were packing up the order. At 4:11pm it still said they were packing up the order, so I finally decided to go in to check on it. I stood in line through 4 people ordering to discover that my order was just sitting there. They made no apology at all when I said I’ve been waiting and the system has said “packing up order for 27 minutes”. I’m not impressed and with prices the way they are, places really need to up their customer service game.As far as the food goes, the chicken and pork ribs were good, the brisket was dry, those aren’t biscuits (they’re hockey pucks), putting cheese and scallions on top of mashed potatoes does not make it a casserole(!), the mac ‘n cheese was adequately cheesy but not very flavorful, and our desserts were incorrect. We ordered a cookie and rice crispy treat but ended up with a blondie (ok, I like those) and something that smelled like coffee cake, but was undercooked batter in the middle (had to trash it).For us, this was a big miss and we won’t be back. YMMV
Their hours say 9pm but they close over 30 minutes early. I placed a order on uber eats, they accepted it, wasted my time driving their with their doors unlocked to tell me they were already closed when I placed my order over 30 minutes before posted closing. Terrible way to run a business as I work in a fast casual restaurant myself as a manager. I'd get fired over something like this.
I have always liked Dicky's but I don't have one near where I live so when my husband and I went to Denton today we decided to get an order to go. We get 2 sliced bar-b-q sandwiches and a large order of onion rings. I was very disappointed, half of our sandwiches was fat and the onion rings were so over cooked that only onion skins were inside. Everything was so greasy, even the wrappings. This was an expensive lesson, 22.00, for a really bad meal. We won't be back nor will I ever recommend Dicky's to anyone.
I am writing this review on the experience that I have had with dickeys off of university in Denton. I had made an online order for my sons Bday and spent 55.00 dollars on a meal that was never received I have contacted the store on numerous occasions I have called the corporate office as well I have yet to get a response from either place about refunding my money I am fairly disappointed on how this is being handled my suggestion stay away from Dickeys off of University honestly this has left a sour taste in my mouth which I’ll make sure to never order from dickeys again.
The experience I had at this Dickey’s location is completely opposite from the other location off I35 in Denton. The store was clean, the customer service was efficient, and the food presentation was great. I only wish they had a drive thru, nevertheless, GOOD JOB!
Staff was very nice. The pit master brought another rib because he thought the portion was too small. Ribs were very good.
I thought it was just horrible. They are upcharging if you get brisket in which I did and my sandwich was more than half fat. When I told the young lady that if they are going to upcharge I should have actual meat not fat. She just looked at it and me and said nothing. I am appalled that it was not fixed to a standard better than this. Keep in mind I had the little hoagie so that about a three inch bun and the photo included will show just how much fat was on that small sandwich. Upcharged to chew fat. Gross.Update: Dickeys Customer support reached out and sent me coupon for free sandwich and ribs. I go back to the restaurant to eat again for I've eaten here many times so maybe just a bad day that day. Get up to counter and show coupon and lady says oh no we don't accept those here. I explain why and she again says we'll sorry bit we don't take them and nothing she can do and we can drive to other store which is clear across town mind you. But they would not accept the coupons. We catered 300 people and Brisket and chicken were very good! We will start using these guys they know how to smoke!
I had to be the 401 customer review, plus my first review! Been coming here for 7 years and they have the best bbq and the owners are always present! Thank you to the owners at this place! During the pandemic they were the only place that did not close and kept open serving great bbq and keep staff jobs! Greatful to good honest hard working owners ! You can smell the smoke from my house in Denton!
Stopped by after grocery shopping. Food was hot, fresh, and fast! Staff was friendly. Got a pulled pork sandwich, love it with some spicy bbq!
