Our server was great. My food (breakfast rellenos crepes and hashbrown casserole) was great. The other three meals were good. The coffee bar was great. The wait time to get in was about 30 minutes and there were open tables available. The wait time to get our food was about as long. I don't know if they were short-staffed, but whatever the delays were, it was not communicated to us. We may give it another chance.
I absolutely love Cafe Brazil and if I could give them 10 stars I would. My family and I have eaten there several times over the past four years and we have never been disappointed by anything. The menu, coffee and staff are all fantastic. I'm literally getting hungry just thinking about it. I am dead serious when I say that EVERYTHING on the menu is delicious. And the bottomless coffee bar is an awesome addition to any meal no matter what time of day you go. I highly recommend the bourbon pecan coffee, but they are all great. If the staff says there may be a 30 minute wait, do it! Trust me it is so worth it and they are busy because they are that good. I really wish they would open a second location in Fort Worth and I mean that. But no matter, when I'm in Denton I will be there.
The food and the menu are great. The coffee selection is awesome. The let down is in the service… We’ve had bad service in 2 out of the last 5 times we’ve gone.The first time the waitress was in a hurry to get us out of the restaurant.Second time we were seated but no waitress ever came to our table. After waiting 20 minutes we just got up and left.Update: We went again 2 weeks ago because the food is just so good… We had excellent service this time around. Saw some new faces servicing the customers. Keep up the good work and great food. Love the bourbon pecan coffee.
Our first time here after a nice outing. We entered with no clue what to do; no direction or greeting. We asked other patrons what to do. They unkindly did not respond. We finally talked to someone and they said to wait a few minutes. The wait lasted for quite some time. We were seated without a greetings, or any cordiality. We ordered and was brought the wrong dish. The dish came back corrected, but without the correct side. The side was brought after we commented. The food was cold and frankly did not taste fresh. It was also not fulfilling. The wait staff and the manager need to pay attention to their actions and do their job. We paid with cash just to get out of there. What a terrible waste of a nice beautiful afternoon.
This place is kinda like if the founders of Waffle House were alternative kids (and by no means is that a bad thing). Everything I've tried there is excellent, prices are decent (even in this economy), and every server I've had has made me warm up to the stereotypical Denton kid vibe. Imagine a Golden Retriever puppy; it doesnt always behave how you want to, but you can't get mad at it because it has the purest intentions and always ends up making you smile. Hope this helps!
Robbed of my time, we ordered 2 pieces of cake that was already made, and two lattes. We've been waiting for our lattes for about 25mins and when I walked up to the register to see what is going on they didn't even place the order yet, so now we're waiting even longer. Also the only thing Brazilian here is the coffee beans. Food is exceptional. Also the waitress might be having a bad day...
Have only been there twice, just for a coffee. Each time, my same, specialty coffee drink was delicious. However, those two, (in the same day) were lacking consistency with the amount of coffee/espresso beans. First one was absolutely perfect and utterly delicious. Second one was very good, but, too strong. The same young lady, served me each time and she was very, very kind and friendly.
I ordered online and when I got there I looked at my phone and noticed it was cancelled. I went inside to ask why they cancelled it and was told it was because they didn't have one of the items I ordered. It would have been better for them to call me and ask if I want a substitute instead of just cancelling the whole order. The lady at the restaurant apologized and placed my order again. It was out quickly and was brought out to my car. Overall I will return to this location.
Bottomless coffee and self serve. I didn’t see any dairy alternatives at the self serve area. But it doesn’t hurt to ask for some behind the counter. Large portions and very delicious. I got the spinach omelette.
Good food, adequate service (for our mid-plague era). Lots of fresh coffees of a variety of flavors, beautiful dishes and desserts though. It's location doesn't do it any favors, with a large, cold, echoing building and dim lighting. The menus can be hard to read with their small text on brown backgrounds.
