There were 7 adult women going out for a nice dinner. It was restaurant week, and everyone decided to order off the special menu. Our waitress was very friendly so it started off well. Our clam chowders arrived thick, pasty and luke warm. Two of us asked ours to be zapped. Our waitress came back and said they were making more. After 2 hours our food finally arrived, with the exception of one that never came. The clam chowder arrived next, but was mere milk broth. When we asked our waitress about the missing meal, she never returned. Most of us ordered the sea bass, and when we bit it, it was gritty. The fish still had scales on it. We then asked for a manager, and when one never came, our hostess went and found one. We ended up agreeing to pay for our wine and drinks and left without an apology, except the excuse of staffing.

Barley & Board Would NOT recommend this venue for any parties larger than 4. In an attempt to do business with a local restaurant and schedule our Wedding Rehearsal Dinner (50-60 people) we have emailed [email protected] per the waitress's instruction. We did not hear back so we forwarded the email to the [email protected] and again did not hear back. So I called and left a message requesting a call back and did not receive a call back. I called again several days later and spoke with an employee who told me to just wait. I messaged via Facebook to no avail. We called a week later and spoke with Manager Ethan May who told us not to wait on them and to find another venue. For all of the hubbub over restaurants suffering during COVID we have a hard time believing such rhetoric when we have a guaranteed party ranging between 50 and 60 people and this restaurant does not care. ************************ As long as this review remains up the issues remain unaddressed.

This is my third time coming to this restaurant. The first two times I came were a fun and calming experience. The food came quickly, and it was super good.Me and my friends went last night on a Friday, and it was really packed. Over 45 min wait and when we finally sat down, it took almost an hour for all our food to come out. This is not a criticism, I will just not be coming here on a Friday night again. The food was delicious, just disappointed that my shrimp and grits portion was like an appetizer when I spend 20 dollars on it. The staff was super helpful and came around often despite the overcrowding. Love this place still and like coming here for an early dinner or a lunch with friends.

The staff were all very nice, the food was so delicious, and the atmosphere is also great. Definitely will go again soon!

On 12/18/2021, my husband and I went to dinner and we sat at the bar. At the end of our meal, I asked for a $75 gift card. The manager (the one who went to Rutgers University) said if I purchased $100 in gift cards, I would get a $25 bonus gift card. So I purchased one card for $25 and one for $75 all in the same transaction on the same debit card. I received them electronically, but never the $25 bonus card. I called a few days later and left a message with the hostess who said the managers were all in a meeting and someone would call me back in 10 minutes. No call. I called back a few days later, and received a voicemail, I left my name, phone number. Nothing. A week later, I called again, left exact same information and now it's been 5 days since my last call, and no one has called, texted or emailed me (I had to give my phone and email address for the gift cards initially). Crickets! Very disappointed - used to be one of our favorite dinner spots.

Amazing food snd great service.

This place was okay. We have it a chance during a Sunday afternoon and are not sure if we would return. We ordered brunch and while the food was decent enough, the service here needs a lot of work. We weren’t given the menu QR code after being seated, the food took a really long time to come out (30+ minutes for two dishes) and when we finally got the dishes the server never gave us utensils so we were sitting there unable to eat for a few minutes before I was able to finally flag down the hostess to get us the utensils. All in all, I don’t think I’d wait an hour to eat in this place again.

Always a great experience at B&B. Doesn't matter if it's brunch or dinner or cocktails. Never been disappointed in any meals I've ordered, they're all fantastic! I also host an annual Galentine's here every year, and they accommodate our large group of ladies perfectly! We'll never go anywhere else for Galentine's. This place is great for a nice brunch, dinner with family, drinks with friends, or a special night out.

Every aspect gets 5 stars!!! The food, the staff, the atmosphere, and the Smash drinks! Holy cow are we happy we drove a little further off the highway for this one on the way back to Austin!!!I am a fried mushroom phonetic, theirs are amazing! We had the Italian sandwich, sweet pig/angrier bird and the 1/2 roasted chicken all wonderful! We are already considering a weekend trip to the area just to bring our other friends! The downtown area makes it even better. We will definitely be back!

Love this place ! The food is always delicious and the service is great
