I do not know how people are giving this place a five star rating maybe they have never had real TexMex. The waitress I had did a very nice job but nothing she could do would or could make up for the horrible food they serve. I will never go back.
Whoever the man with the glasses and the green shirt was working behind the bar and taking to-go orders on Tuesday 06/07/2022, PAY HIM MORE. One of the best servers I’ve ever had. We made a to-go order with him, and he served us our drinks ahead of time, served us chips, made sure we had some refills before we got our order. Very pleasant! I really hope he got our tip (I had to tip with my card). He absolutely made my day and I hope to be served by him in the future!
Just wanted to let you know to forget this restaurant as a place to go. Instead of paying more, they post signs about how understaffed they are. Then they spend 5 minutes at your table telling you how busy and behind they are! The real reason I am posting is that the female Manager came to take our order. We ordered beef and chicken fajitas and then WARNED the Manager about a severe shellfish allergies of one of us. She assured us it would be fine, but I am writing this from the emergency room! LAST VISIT!
Been going to this place for years now!!! When I choose..." I choose Jalapeno Tree ".22oz Strawberry Margaritas are very great on a day of Texas heat!!!! The fish tacos are one of my favs, I can name quite a few things, but I must say as well. The green sauce... ??
My husband and I love this place. We go here about monthly maybe more. We had our first bad experience here last weekend. They were very short staffed, not super busy though. Our waitress was busy doing something, my husband had a question about his food etc and caught the waiters attention he threw his arms up and said I don't have time for this s***...Update: Talked with the EVP of the restaurant. He made it right. ❤️ ?
If you are going to ask your guests to wait 30 minutes to be seated, please have a sitting area for them to wait. The front entrance where we stood waiting looked like a storage room and it was a solid 30 minutes to get a table!Now, things changed when the salsa and chips came out. It was prompt and tasty, although the chips were a bit thin.I don't care for the giant plexiglass between booths.. it's gross. I tried to focus on the cool wall decor while waiting for entrees...very nice. What made all difference was the excellent service and the food. It was good TexMex and I enjoyed it.
The Jalapeno Tree is one of my favorite restaurant great good good places every theg is always good every time Love it!!❤???
Best Mexican food around.
My wife and I just left the Denison location where we ate our post-Valentines dinner. The restaurant was busy and we had to wait for a table. We understand that every restaurant these days is under staffed and patience is required. So no real problem there. We finally were seated, but it was quite a while before someone took our drink order. The drinks came out quickly and the waiter took our order. It was quite a while to get our order. My wife had the Bob Hope and I had the Chicken Chimichanga. Apparently, my order must have come out of the oven way before my wife's because by the time we got our food, mine was cold. Not only that, instead of being chicken. it was beef. We were both finished with our meals before our waiter came to check on us. We both needed drink refills, but were ready to leave. I am not one to cause a scene, and I am one of these guys who votes with his wallet. This used to be one of our favorite restaurants. But it will be a while before we will return.
Enjoyable atmosphere, good music. We ordered brisket nachos, white queso , taco plate. Taco meat seasoning was Really delicious.The 2 complimentary house dips alone are great! We had a fantastic server Jason. Good sweet tea.
