Best chicken fried steak & mashed potatoes in Sherman & Denison! Glass of sweet tea tops off the whole thing. Can’t beat a bite of this. Really great vibe, music, & service for an overall fantastic meal & experience.
Food is good. Portions are generous. Why give a negative review? TO GO ORDERS ARE VERY ONEROUS. It takes sometimes over an hour for them to answer their phone. GEEZ!! Answer the dang phone!
The food was great as always. Steak cooked perfect. But was amazing was our waiter Luke. He said it was his first day, but he waited on us like he been here for years. Never ran out of drink, our challenging order came out exactly like we ordered. A great experience.
Went last week with a friend based on the ratings which can't be accurate. Got sweet tea and a burger. Friend also got a burger. It was the worst sweet tea I've ever had in my life. Tasted like pond wonder and sweet n low. The burgers were made without any seasoning and cheap lean meat so no flavor. When asked how the burgers were my friend said that they didn't have any seasoning. On the way out the waiter piped off "I bet burger King has better burgers". Immediately regretted leaving a 20% tip.Most resturaunts that dabble in everything aren't good at anything.If you enjoy unseasonably bland food eat here or take their own advice and save a few bucks at burger King.
Don't waste your time or money here. Overpriced food, uncomfortable chairs and wobbling table( with as much as the menu prices are you would think they would have better sitting), no complimentary bread or chips , and the decor is odd with all the stuffed animals "watching " me eat. All that before I get to my $26 plate. I don't know how but my steak ( ordered medium) was almost raw on one end and charred to past well done on the other. With tip it was $71 for my wife and I, and definitely not worth it.
Here is an honest assessment. Ordered an appetizer, 2 meals and a buger to go. 3 stars because the food was great. The service and accuracy of our order not so much. The river while awesome was cooked rare instead of medium well. Sent it back. I was completely through with the appetizer and my meal before the kitchen was able to rebook her steak. It was the same steak. Just needed more time on the grill. It took longer the second trip to the grill than it did when originally ordered. The waitress took our food 3 times to the wrong table. She was scattered and could not keep the used plates, napkins and general trash picked up from the table. She would get the used napkins but not the salad bowl. Then get the salad bowl but not the appetizer plate. I was really odd. 60% sure I might eat there again. Absolutely no visible appearance of a manager or anyone in charge except for one person in the kitchen. No one asked about our food or the wait on the steak. Just pay your bill and go. It was very disappointing.
Had a bad experience. My family came in from out of and I wanted to show them a good time. We went here and didn't even get a chance to sit down and eat. Every worker just walked past us. My wife asked this guy with a ponytail can we sit and he just walked off.
The few times I've been here the food has always been excellent, and the overall environment is really cool. Also, the chairs are super comfortable, which oddly adds to the enjoyment of the meal. Great stop for dinner.
Justyse was an amazing waitress, super nice and always available for anything we needed. The food was so delicious! We got the fried mushrooms as an appetizer and they were so juicy but also crispy. Then the ribeye steak was cooked to perfection with the best onion rings I have ever had! Even the Caesar salad was note worthy with the most amazing croutons and dressing. Will be back!
