People are welcoming here, but their service is very slow. I loved their hot chai tea latte, but my avocado toast was just average. My husband meal was pretty cold. In all everything wasn’t the best. It was average.
Great place to eat. The food was great however, only one server, ok...kool. Yes, there was a help wanted sign. But you had 2 employees stand around doing nothing while one server taken care of the whole dining room. How crazy is that?!
So if I'm being 100% honest I was hung over when I tried this restaurant. If you want a quiet breakfast/brunch on Sunday this is Not it! With that being said if you love a busy city feel this is totally for you!I am giving it 5 stars because the service was excellent and timely! I was in a hurry because I had an appointment in 1 hour, and I made it successfully ? I ordered momoses, iced coffee,and my main entree was the Red Velvet French toast! The Red Velvet French toast was delectable!! I debated between the Banana Bread French toast and the Red Velvet, which I went with the waiters recommendation. Total win!!?Parking: They have a parking garage across the street which makes for convenient parking!!
Wife and I took the kids to Yolk for breakfast. I ordered the Crepes. The outside of one of the crepes was over cooked/burnt. I confirmed this atrocity by using my fork to cut off one end for a taste. I sent it back. It was quickly returned looking like a fresh new crepe. Seeing the straight cut end, I opened it to discover the inside was just as burnt as the one I returned. Mysteriously looks like it was turned inside out for a quick return? I’ll not be eating here again.Aside from that, our service was excellent. Seated when told to expect, and our server was great!
We came in Friday around 1:30pm. We were seated immediately and we didn’t wait much for the food. The parking garage infront of the restaurant makes it easy to just park and go in. Friendly server and amazing food! We got the Toreado eggs and the countryside skillet. The signature hot sauce is pretty good too! Would def come again!
Food was great. They had nice seating and cool menus. However they were completely packed for brunches and did miss a few peoples orders. The menu was creative and the vibes were good. Everything was fresh not frozen. Good service and friendly staff.
Got a skillet on the favorite section of the menu, it was very good and potatoes nice and seasoned. The pancakes tasted great before I put syrup on them.Had to wait an hour to eat but thanks to the location with places to walk too and kill some time. The text message notification for updates on waiting was great so I didn't have to be chained to the front door.I'll definitely be back and try something different!
I was slightly disappointed after reading all the rave reviews and waiting 45 minutes for a table. Pros: good food, good service, open kitchen, yummy pancake.Cons: table and menu needed to be cleaned better, small drinks, plate portion sizes are inconsistent, edge of cinnamon roll was hard, pricey.
I have been waiting for YEARS to go to Yolk then the day finally arrived last Saturday.I wanted something light so I opted for the Western crepes (they were SO dry) and cheesy grits (which literally had a 1” film on top”)…..my favorite Chai Latte tea was more spicy than I anticipated.Y’all listen, I’m not sure where I went wrong but just order what people have previously recommended from this place. OR, there is another spot down the street that also starts w/a Y that I would 9/10 recommended before this place.Oh and I went in ~8:30a, no wait, quickly seated and THEN I was provided with ~20 minutes to look at the menu before I received a server. We had a reservation for 12 and they were able to easily accommodate us. The staff was super friendly and was able to make great recommendations for people with dietary restrictions in our group. The price and portions were also great. Definitely recommend checking this place out.
