We just placed an order on Uber Eats and were less than satisfied with the packaging and quality of the food. The chicken and rice with gravy appeared old and had a bland taste. The gumbo arrived cold as if taken directly from the refrigerator. The red beans and rice had a scented/soapy taste to it, and the greens were soggy. Our family takes pride in patronizing black owned business’s and are in no way attempting to discredit this establishments efforts. However, it is important to produce quality products especially food. We attempted to call the restaurant with no answer.
I literally Googled this place I was able to get gas and some bomb food the burgers are amazing the smothered pork chops were so delicious not to mention the owner was down to earth very friendly I sat in the parking lot eating with my husband who loved his food. This is a must try place I will be back tomorrow for the stuffed meatloaf. Cookie did her Thang and I'm hard to impress but good is good
My family and I went to this establish on Thursday 3-3-22 and I ordered a smothered pork chop with rice mixed greens and macaroni and cheese and I told them that I wasn’t pleased with my order and would like a refund or something else they recommend I could try. I was then told by the owners son and also the owner herself that I wouldn’t receive a refund and they proceeded to be rude and disrespectful towards me and my family then there were other people called to this establishment as a threat to me and my family all because I stated my opinion. I WOULDN’T RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO MY WORSE ENEMY!.
Thursday, March 3 my family and I decided to Google a down south southern home cook restaurant. Yo mamas kitchen in Dallas Texas appeared as far as getting directions clueless is held off the side of the highway inside of a gas station the signs are very small to find where the restaurant is you could basically find it with a magnifying glass. After coming in viewing the menu they have a wide range of things as the clerk or the associate mention The majority of the menu they do not have after ordering distasteful the gentleman bragged on his mothers greens (greens cabbage jalapeño pepper mix together) they were soggy over process like baby food the smothered pork chops looked to be delicious from the looks after trying to taste them tough hard to cut like playing tug-of-war the rice watery soupy looking cornbread not thoroughly cooked beans hard like a rock but was told that the beans and the cabbage greens were cooked for two days unbelievable after mention to the cook and the other Clark to get a hold of the owner as we explain to the owner that we were dissatisfied with the food tend to get a little upset not being accommodative to offer a refund or credit off or to even remake the meal poor etiquette and customer service skills and then hats audacity to call other folks as if it was going to be an issue other cars arrive at the facility I wouldn’t recommend for anyone in Dallas or DFW area to even eat there The health department Better Business Bureau secret shoppers should come out and visit the location I give the food and the hospitality a -0
I ordered from Uber Eats. My chicken was burnt. (I ordered 2 pc chicken and porkchop) I called and the lady asked what I wanted her to do. I asked for a manager and she said the owner is gone. I asked what do yall normally do if people complain and she said the owner fixes it...I asked Can I ask who Im speaking to and she said the owners cousin ... I said ok so when will she be available and she said tomorrow... I said so when I call tomorow just let her know spoke to her cousin? she said yes... NEVER EVER AGAIN WILL I SUPPORT THIS ESTABLISHMENT... i wish i could give 0 stars

I grabbed a quick lunch here to support a local business over the chain drive through a down the street. I thought my son would like the Mac and cheese, but it had a little more spice than he liked. So I came back and they made him a custom item since I wasn’t sure what menu item he would like. It was a hit! My lunch item was okay, but the peach cobbler was out of this world!!Customer service was beyond five stars!
