We needed to grab a bite to eat between flights and stopped here. All was good (ribs, pork, fries). Would stop here again when passing through terminal A at DFW.
We were in the Dallas Airport and looking for a quick bite to eat. It was quick but the food was cold and not flavorful. We got the sausage sandwich, which was on special, the brisket plate with fries, corn and baked beans, the chop chop sandwich, and coleslaw. Like I said, the food was cold, fries were not seasoned, corn was not buttered and the baked beans were not seasoned either. They asked if we wanted sauce on our sandwiches and brisket and we said yes, but the amount of BBQ sauce they put on the food was so minimal we couldn't even tell. Had to wait another 5 minutes to get someone's attention to get some more BBQ sauce.
What a relief to come down the escalator and smell delicious Texas BBQ after being abroad for 2 weeks.I was bummed though because the staff were just closing the ropes off and shutting the door on a chance to sink my teeth in some delicious meat! The man Tadros saved me. He said hey man,You look hungry come on in, you can be last customer. They were in the middle of mopping and cleaning but welcomed me in. Fantastic customer service, I really felt the love. Thanks for being so awesome! Now the food is as always fantastic at Salt Lick. I had the ribs, potato salad and cole slaw. Wow, so good. Thanks being here and being awesome! Much appreciated!!!!
Pretty flavorless if you ask me. The pulled pork quesadilla had no flavor. The baked beans had no flavor. The tortilla was barely warm. The sourcream was good. Plus a coke and your quick lunch is $20 and change. Not worth $ it.
The Chop-Chop sandwich combo was really good. Waaaaay better than your average airport food. Washed it down with a Texas sweet tea.
Inflation means higher bread to brisket ratio I guess. $27 with tip, one side item and drink. I understand airport prices, but won't be back for this kind of sandwich. Will stick to the Cousin's BBQ locations when in DFW.
Service was great, Mariam was very helpful and friendly. Brisket was very tasty, needed a bit more rub or salt but otherwise very good with an excellent smoke ring.Obviously it isn't going to be as good as the airport as it is at the original location but it was great for airport food and a good price as well.
Food was great! Hit the spot after our flight. Samir was awesome! Checked on our food while we ate .
Not bad when you need a quick fix. I was in the Dallas/Forth Worth airport on a layover and had not eaten anything and had to make another 4 hour flight so I really needed something to hold me over. Not really feeling fast food so I was glad to see they had some bbq. My wife enjoyed the sandwich and I went with the ribs. They were a perfect size and were good. Not a fan of the bbq sauce but it was fine without it. Nice change of pace. Staff was quick and friendly. As far as airport food goes-Not bad.
Food came out super fast and was pretty good! Samir was also a great attendant. A nice spot to stop for a quick BBQ bite.
