So, the food was good, but the ambiance was lacking. I was tired of restaurants with loud music and multiple TV screens, so we tried the Old Warsaw. We arrived at 5:30pm and found that we had the place to ourselves (for close to an hour). After our arrival they turned on recorded music, and it was...loud rock music! Not what we wanted. They did turn it lower at my request. Wife wanted ginger ale. Surprisingly, they didn't have any. Apparently they are renovating, and a door was propped open in my field of view to show a room with tables and chairs stacked. Put all that together, and, as I wrote, the ambiance wasn't what I expected. The restaurant has been open for many years, so maybe they're getting too slack. At 7pm as we about to leave, the pianist arrived and started playing. That was more along the lines of what I was hoping for, except our table was next to the piano, and, sorry to say, it was loud; not at the level of background music drifting in from another room as I was hoping to experience. Not going back.

Everyone and everything was wonderful!! The only complaint was the dirt road construction outside It was a mess getting into the restaurant

Food was great and Piano player was very entertaining.

This was our first time dining. No ne greeted us at the door so we were unaware what was going on. Finally a young female sat our party of four. The piano, while a nice change, made conversation difficult as it was a bit loud. The decor is starting to look tired and worn. The food was just ok. Nothing special. Desserts are disappointing. My wife had to send back her key lime pie as it was grainy. My carrot cake was dry and tasted old. You are asked at end of meal if paying by credit card or cash. No actual bill was presented. I reluctantly handed over my card and the amount was correct. Probably wont return. Also no valet on duty even though signs out front.

The food was great. Our service was completely subpar. Very unexpected

Fine dining at its best! Excellent service, beautiful live piano music while you dine, and the food was amazing! Highly recommend!

Good food great ambience

I've been twice - once for a regular weeknight and once for a special occasion. Both times the food was phenomenal, the service was excellent, and the experience was perfect. Love the live piano and old-school feel of the restaurant. Top steakhouse in Dallas that does all of the little things right. Anytime I need a place to impress, any night of the week, I'd easily look to the Old Warsaw.

Best food, service and music. We loved talking with Al and listening to Gregory on the piano!! We will be back

Our party of six loved our experience at The Old Warsaw. The prix fixe menu was an excellent value (I enjoyed lobster bisque, Beef Wellington, and a Grand Marnier souffle; my companions sampled a range of other appetizers and entrees and we watched Cherries Jubilee and Bananas Foster prepared table side). It seems that some diners have forgotten about this place. We had attentive service and enjoyed beautiful piano music (played live). Don't let construction on Maple deter you. Go experience this Dallas classic while you can. It opened in 1948!
