Mediterranean version of Chipotle. I went Friday evening to a trendy District. ? meh don't see the hype, If chipotle had yellow rice and gyros meat I don't think they would be around.
I've eaten at this location before and it was good. When I entered 2 days ago everyone was nice. I received my food and ate half of it and noticed a piece of I don't know what on my chicken. I let the manager know and she gave me a refund receipt, I haven't received it yet and offered to make me another plate. I said yes and went to eat my second plate and there was something in that as well. Halal guys use to be one of my favorite restaurants but now not so much. The food was lukewarm at best and the meat didn't look fresh.
A coworker put me on to this place and I absolutely fell in love! The food is super simple but very very delicious and well seasoned. The Baklava was so good!! I definitely should have gotten 2 servings. Please get extra white sauce, because I could not get enough of it!! 10/10, Would absolutely recommend (especially for picky eaters)
They won’t accept any cash over a $20 bill. Got all the food ready, went to pay with a $50, and was turned away for having too much cash? I’m sure the cashier was fine with it at the end of the day though cause he’ll get to take all the food he packaged up home for some free dinner tonight. What a joke.
Food is fine but why are they asking for a tip at counter service? I’m a semi-regular and every single time the employee behind the counter notes “We’ll just need your signature and the iPad will ask you how much you want to tip”.Why am I tipping for just take out? Why aren’t they charging me an extra 30 cents for the food and paying their employees a livable wage?Why are we as consumers accepting this behavior from restaurants? The food already costs 10% more than last year, I’m not paying an extra $3.40 for no additional service.
Pretty disappointed with my delivery order I got today. I love going to Halal Guys, especially this location, used to work around the area and would eat once a week. Decided to Uber Eats from here and the portion size was terrible. Got a regular as usual and there's just not much rice or meat, even the lettuce was lacking. Pretty sad let down. If I go myself, for sure 5 stars, but do not order to go.
I love this place and service is great. Food is bomb I don’t know what Greek food is supposed to taste like but I know this is good to my tastebuds
Good food. I always go to halal guys but the only thing is there rice is slightly undercooked. And I noticed this time that they charge you for extra rice. I mean I didn't want salad and instead of that just a bit more extra rice but was denied for it. Anyway I don't blame the staff because they might just be following protocol. Anyway good lamb and chicken gyro. And the best white sauce.
Service was outstanding ! Love the staff here the food always fresh and hot ,good and the young men are always ? polite feels like home always a pleasure to visit this is my spot ?I highly recommend ?
Food was great. Staff seemed very uninterested. Then, the great chopping began... And lasted about ten minutes. Unbelievably loud. We couldn't talk. Overall, I'd be totally happy to get takeout but have zero interest in ever eating in there again.
