We got the 2 Empanada Meal which included 2 Empanadas, 1 Side, and 1 Sauce. I opted for the Beef and Potato and an Al Pastor Empanada with a side of Chimichurri Sauce and Plantains. It was delicious. Not a heavy lunch but satisfying. I really loved the Empanada crust and the filling was delicious. The chimichurri sauce was flavorful and creamy. They have so many flavors you'll have no problem finding one you'll like.
DELICIOUS! Great taste not bland at all! Very friendly and great presentation!
Restaurant located just two blocks away from the West End station. The place is new and is simply decorated with bright colors. Several indoor tables, outdoor seating is not available. Portions are fairly small so my recommendation is to order at least 3 empanadas per adult. The restaurant should probably use nicer packaging materials for dine in, perhaps washable metal trays.
So last night I got on YouTube and watched the show called Munchies and they did a episode on empanadas so I got cravings and decided to go hunt some down. The environment was pretty cool and friendly good use of the space since it was in downtown. If so I was watching the show that all the information miles are fried but I think these are baked leaving a little lighter crust. Excellent fillings and awe they even had a breakfast one I would definitely recommend people to try this place out.
Great spot to try something new and different.
My friends and I stopped by after our excursion at the Dallas Aquarium. Upon entrance, we observed the cozy ambiance with cute decorations. Unfortunately, on the day we went, they had run out of pork. Food service took a bit longer than expected, but it did seem like they had a small team (possibly short staffed?) working on everything. The staff members were very friendly though.I ordered a chicken fajita and beef chimichurri empanada with a side of tater tots. The chicken fajita was delicious! The beef chimichurri was okay. The tater tots were fine as a safe option, but I would pick another side next time. I tried all the salsas - except the chimichurri - and the salsa blanca ranch was my favorite. The Rosa de Jamaica drink was also nice. The taste reminds me of cranberry juice.Overall, I would try this place again when I'm in the Downtown Dallas area.
Can't wait to come back! This was an unexpected but awesome stop today. The only thing I didn't care for is the parking situation but not much they can do there.Highly recommend the al pastor (with a piña twist) and the portobello mushroom. GET THE CHIMICHURRI FULL STOP. I should have asked to pay for more to take home! Also please do not skip over the plantains they are amazing, sometimes places can make them super mushy and this wasn't the case.Have to also mention that the value was very good and it helps make up for the long trip and the parking!
This place is a great find. Perfect for a party plater but also a great little spot to come in and eat for breakfast or lunch. If you are familiar with traditional empanadas from specific countries these are similar to the baked Argentine style but they are definitely changed up with modern flavors and flare. There are all kinds from ham and cheese to Al Pastor to Beef Chimichurri and on our first stop in we had some of the breakfast ones. The tator tots are really good too with parmesan and parsley.
Fantastic. The next time I'm in town, I'll have to make a point to stop by. The 3 empanadas meal I'd highly suggest. If you don't want the side, get at least 3 and maybe a desert empanadas. Two are not enough to fill you. The guava cheesecake one is a cream fill. I did expect it to be a bit more sweet. The pastor and chicken n jalapeño was flavorful and not dry. The Roja sauce has a pleasant amount of spice.
Absolutely DELICIOUS!!!! Can’t wait to go back!!!
