Great place to hang out. Drinks and food are good and satisfactory. Boom boom shrimp is definitely the best in food menu. Service was great and friendly. There is outdoor seating as well. They were doing a bingo evening. not sure if its there all days. Overall a good experience and will try again.
Nice bar with solid food and TONS of beers on tap (along with other drinks available). Quick service, super friendly. And an outdoor area that's shaded with fans and TVs. I will be going back!
A very good place to spend an evening with your family.. kids would love the play area and aesthetic and delicious food guaranteed... Not to mention IPA beers..?????
First time here and absolutely loved the nice big bar and patio, great service as well and one hell of a cook works here, friendly people and super great patio area
Awesome staff!! First time here since we are “with the band” but we will come back for sure.
Love this place so much! I had the bacon sandwich with jelly and Brie! Mama Mia! It was incredibly excellent. From the Manager with the cool beard all the way to the staff, I had a blast. They have cool interactive events and always good music. Thank you kindly Brass Tap! I’ll be back soon and love this local gem!
Kudos to all the staff especially Chef Steven and our server Aaron! Highly recommend you try this little gem out! We definitely will be back... and will be bringing friends! Wonderful indoor and outdoor setting... If you are thinking about trying this place out... stop thinking and go enjoy!
Great new neighborhood pub. Have ordered takeout and dined in three times, always good food. Extensive beer selection and plenty of large screen TVs. Today my wife ordered fish 'n chips. The bar manager brought out her plate and explained that it was battered incorrectly. He went on to describe the correct batter process using only the head of a specific beer, which was interesting to hear. He soon brought out the correctly battered fish and left the original plate, which was still very edible, so we could taste the significant difference. We ended up with two fish 'n chips orders (plenty to take home) plus knowledge of how they make it so delicious. It made for a very nice visit.EDIT: I would add to my review that, in general, patrons should consider being more tolerant of slow/inattentive service during the current environment. Due to covid protocols and historic numbers of people leaving the workforce, virtually all employers have staffing issues.Especially in the service industry. I suggest taking any recent poor review of this restaurant based on slow/inattentive service with a grain of salt.
I went here Monday, January 17, 2022, at 5 p.m.1. The inside chairs are almost all high barstools, or high benches along the walls. I plopped down on one of the high benches, and there was little padding, which was disappointing.2. The small menu’s first 2 pages are drinks, and a separate large menu is all drinks, some beers having 12% alcohol, so it seems their main goal is to sell alcohol.3. I ordered the flat bread which the menu heralded as "Thick Style" and I pictured deep-dish pizza. It arrived and the crust was about 1/8-inch thick – see photos I uploaded. The bartender later explained "thick" refers to the ingredients, but the toppings weren't very thick either, just cheese and the height created by scattered chopped red peppers and ground beef. I Googled "thick style" to see if I was out of touch, but this term is only used by the Brass Tap chain of about 21 restaurants, not by anyone else. This is misleading.4. I ordered the "steak" flatbread, but it was more like ground beef, and not much of this, and I got a big piece of gristle.5. A woman came in with a little boy asking if they had a Kid’s menu – that was a quick exit!6. The walls have large TV screens. The one in front of me first featured real "fights" - a ballpark brawl, then someone dressed as a white bunny rabbit beating up someone on the street, then animals fighting - not fun to watch. Then not funny home videos of people wiping out in snow. Another screen had someone painting. This was all distracting. The bartender told us it was to attract a younger crowd.7. The sun was low and shined in our eyes, but then went behind the west building.8. When the waitress brought her handheld for me to pay, she displayed a tip window with a range of 30%, 25% or 20%, with 30% highlighted. I am pretty sure they calculated this on the after-tax amount.I changed this to 20%, so was made to feel like a cheapskate, despite tipping almost 25% on the pre-tax amount.9. I pressed that I wanted a "printed receipt," but no one ever brought me a printed receipt showing my tip amount.10. The waitress did bid us "thanks for coming" when we left.We walked next door to Don Pepe’s, sat on comfy benches at a normal height, with no distracting TV screens, and enjoyed it much more – Don Pepe’s is the gem here. We may go back and try another menu item, but so far this is factually disappointing.
Well, this is a mixed review...we were welcomed very warmly by one of the bar tenders and offered any seat in the house. We sat for about 15 minutes before anybody attended to us. Ordered drinks and food all at the same time. Probably another 10 minutes before drinks arrived, and then wife's meal was delivered. My meal took another 5 minutes to show up. So, drinks were great. My IPA was sufficiently hoppy. My brisket grilled cheese was great, hot with melty cheese. Tater tots were exceptional. Wife's burger was average. I asked for one more beer, but we were finished eating by the time it was said to be on its way. I cancelled the beer and asked for the check. Check came right away and the beer was offered on the house...I had a couple of sips, but the meal was over. Anyway, I say all this with no malice. The place was only 25% full, and there was only one waitress. Rest of staff could probably have doubled down on service. We will give it another try, but for now - food good, service shaky at best.
