Food is delicious. Customer service is beyond reproach. Spicy basil chicken is amazing as well as their soups.Tried other Thai places and they can't compare.
Ordered thru uber eats. They did not sent fried rice that I paid for. They ignored all of my requests, utensils extra sauce. Also the massuman curry was way too sweet. Needed a diet coke just to get down. Never go back, and do not order thru uber because they don't read instructions.
Typically has been an enjoyable, consistent and quality option for Thai, however a most recent experience has made me rethink if I'll return. In the past two visits, the quantity of entrées served, quality and taste have fallen. The restaurant during lunch used to include both an egg roll and salad with lunch entrées...no longer! And in addition the prices during lunch have increased at an unreasonable level. I've had just as tasty Thai food at the fast food option, Pei Wei and other nearby Thai restaurants. Sad, because I know they can do better! Will no longer be a go to option for Thai food in Dallas.
We ordered the yellow curry, massaman curry, and chicken satay as take out. I’m not a professional foodie but I’ve had Thai curries from many different places. Here are our thoughts:YELLOW & MASSAMAN CURRYWe don’t like spicy food so we asked for mild spice, and it wasn’t too spicy at all. The yellow curry had a little more kick at the end than the massaman. The consistency of these curries was thinner, more soupier than others I’ve had. Each serving came with about a quart of curry and about a cup of cooked rice.CHICKEN SATAYThis came with four skewers of grilled chicken about 5”x1.5” each, a vegetable relish, and a peanut sauce. We thought it was very tasty, but I would have loved a slightly larger serving of the peanut sauce.
Very beautiful restaurant. I love how small and compact it is, the servers are very friendly and I think I have found a new place for a regular date night with my wife. So glad I found this place, it's really a nice little spot that has a great air of comfort to it with fine dining.Very impressed.
used to love this place and ordered frequently. not sure what is going on lately but received absolutely terrible service. ordered a thai iced coffee and spicy peanut sauce with chicken, with no bean sprouts. my order shows up with no utensils, the straw was dirty already even tho it was in a separate bag from the drink and the chicken had bean sprouts all in it. i called they offered a remake but then said the driver was out so i would have to pick it up. Not being able to do that atm i declined and asked for a refund instead. was put on with a manager who asked what was going on and apologized and said they would refund only the coffee... so i ask so im stuck sitting here with an expensive meal im not going to eat? strangely then agreed to a refund and said she was sending someone to get the food???? so you can send someone to pick up the food, but not to redeliver my order correctly? won't be coming back anymore
My order arrived sooner than expected, unfortunately, it was hard to eat. The ginger stir fry was very salty. Also the carrots and mushrooms were sliced very thick and therefore not cooked. It was like eating raw vegetables. It had been a while since i ordered from here and I've usually enjoyed their food.
I loved the place, decoration, that's is nice and clean, waitress super nice and kind, food very tasty, I ordered spicy level 3, my husband level 4, my only recommendations is I think there should by a level between those two. don't miss ice cream with fried banana, it's delicious
The homey feeling welcomed us as soon as we walked in. It felt like being in someone's cozy home! Both the service and the food was wonderful. It was such a great experience from beginning to end. Can't wait to go back!
Thai Opal is unassuming from the outside. We question our decision to go there. However, it was a wonderful choice. The inside is quiet and inviting with great ambiance. The staff were outstanding and provided great service and attention. They were very concerned that we were comfortable. The food was well presented. Every dish did indeed come with an orchid. We thought it was just for the advertisement of the restaurant. I thought the corn cakes were a little too crispy, but good. The dipping sauces were great. The main entrees were excellent. I would certainly go back if I lived in the area.
