Best ribs I have had in Texas hands down. Them greens taste like my grandma cook them just for me. Baby after I ate my food I was in a very happy food Coma ?. If you want some great Soul Food this is the place

I have the chance to visit my old stomping grounds of Dallas Texas. It's only a 3 day trip but I've made sure to visit a favorite restaurant even though it's a 40 minutes drive away. And like always and never disappointed. The food is delicious here. They say everything is bigger in Texas and these huge serving sizes follow that statement. Thet are huge enough for two people to eat off of one order.I highly recommend the restaurant for anyone visiting in the anyone who lives there. If you're looking for home-style soul food this is the place to go to.

$25 DOLLAR KID MEAL at Sweet Georgia Browns. I have been a faithful fan since 2010. I had wonderful experiences, plenty of food, great taste and good price. This is the first time I have visited in a year. I got the usual : Brisket, Ribs,Mashed potatos, greens, and yams. Please see my pics below. I received 4 paper thin slices of beef and a 3 ribs. My plate is covered with vegetables, which would be fine if I were vegan. I am highly disappointed. I took this picture before eating anything. You be the judge. Look at all the room on my plate where the meat is. I just wish it would have been posted that they have cut back on the meat portion and give me an exact portion weight. Toooooo much space for $25. Sweet Georgia Brown I want my money back. I was robbed at the register!!!!!! One last note the food was not as good as it use to be.

The meats were delicious!! Super moist and tender. The most tender and moist brisket i have ever had. The chicken pieces were pretty big and juicy. We had candied yams, mashed potatoes, cabbage, green beans, corn, potatoe salad, Mac n cheese and broccoli rice casserole. The Mac n cheese was really dry but everything else was ok. There were long lines so that says a lot.

I lived in the DFW area and heard about Sweet Georgia Brown's from a friend at church. They told me the food was great, but there were usually long lines.I am generally not one for waiting in long lines for food, but decided to try it one Sunday after services. As told, the line was long. But I decided to wait. After I was inside, those serving food kept those in line entertained as we moved through the line. When I got my food initially, I was blown away by the portions, but the food as advertised was great! This was my first trip back in a while since I moved away from the DFW area. The portions are still large and food great, and yes, they are still keeping those in line entertained.I got two meals: a pork chop dinner with collard greens, yams, black-eyed peas, and a two meat combination with sausage and ribs with rice and beans, cabbage, and yams ?. For dessert German chocolate cake ?.

Just delicious ??. Every time I come to Dallas I'm coming here. & I bought a slice of cake but ate that so fast. It melted like butter with every bite of that cake. The food was on point!! The staff had me laughing! Love this place!!!

Sampling the foods was a treat! Every dish was home made. The owner checked on us and each customer. My husband,, Wilm Rogers knew the owner and I was delighted to meet him Great food on our road trip driving from Atlanta to San Francisco. .

Amazing! Food is definitely made with LOVE and tradition... As good as my granny's cooking, and for me, I thought that was impossible, until I ate here on vacation. I may go back... just to eat here! ?... REAL TALK

You got to know that you will be taken care of at Sweet Georgia Brown. I can eat on this plate for 3-4 days. Everyone was so kind ???
