Cozy and casual interior along with bar seating. Service was friendly and attentive. Quite a few regulars stopped-by during my stay but most were to-go. The rest of the dishes must be good as well.My dishes were typical of a good sushi restaurant with fresh sashimi and veggies. The shrimp shumai was steamy and savory. Can't go wrong with Sapporo either. They did top other Japanese restaurants with several options of Japanese beer where others only have a couple. So, I would definitely be a regular if I lived nearby.

My Husband and I wanted something chilled on a Monday night nearby and settled on Sushiya. It wasn't very busy at 5.50pm so we were shown a booth straight away. We both ordered the teriyaki salmon Bento box and it was really delicious. The waitress was very attentive - asking us if we needed more drinks and making sure everything was OK. This place isn't 'fancy' but it's got a really lovely, chilled atmosphere with good food. Really worth a visit.

Delicious sushi, good service. We had a lovely dining experience. The ahi tower was a lot of fun! They mixed it up and turned it into a tasty heart-shaped platter.

i ate here with a friend a little less than a month ago. i had a sumo tower and maybe a lava roll? everything was so good!

The food was amazing and the waitresses are so respectful and helpful. I loved it here!! I definitely recommend this place!

I would eat here again, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to seek it. The food was good, as was the service. Maybe it’s just me, but I think the reviews have this rated higher than I personally do? I’d probably look for something different if I were in the area again?

One of the best experiences I’ve had at a sushi spot. Super nice people, great sushi, plus a few Japanese beers I’ve never seen before!

Best sushi plac I've ever been to. The dragon and sushi tempera roll were amazing, not to mention the soft shell crab appetizer. The service, spectacular. This is a very quiet restaurant, the people here are very welcoming. I recommend this place and I wish I could give 10 stars.

Price is right and vegan friendly. Vegetable fried rice without egg is a huge portion and very good. Veggie sushi roll is good. And the mixed vegetable plate with a side of steamed rice is good. If you scrimp, you can get out of there for under $10. In the middle of downtown? Seriously. I'm not sure if they use egg when frying the vegetable tempura, but it's worth an ask. It's good clean food and cheap enough to eat regularly.

Good is great, parking is not. I don't like that their menu is digital- a QR code that my phone can never scan. Definitely will need to plan your day around their hours, prices, wacky ways of doing the menu, and parking, but it is worth it for sure.
