I ordered a 12 plate from Spring Creek Barbeque on Wheatland Rd for last weekend. When the order was picked up, it was perfect. The food was excellent and ready on time. Great barbecue ribs, chicken, turkey, sausage and brisket with homemade potato salad, baked beans, coleslaw and always the great rolls. They still have cobbler a la mode. We have had barbecue other places but this is our go to favorite. The one in Richardson is the original one and such a friendly fun place to go.
My first time going to one. Really great very fresh. Kinda dry a little not to bad brisket needed a little juicer. But all in all a very great place will be going back. We went Sunday they offered rolls every so often and they also gave ice cream yummy I think they said the ice cream is only on Sundays. Very great sides. Cobbler is a must with the ice cream. Can't wait to try it again.
Our first time to this restaurant and we were surprised to find it really good. There were a lot of diners on a Saturday dinner and were glad to have seats. We liked what we ordered: brisket, beef ribs; corn and macaroni and cheese for kids.Kids loved the nonstop fresh bread :-)Love southern food and they do it so well.Thank you!
The last time we came, we could pile up the sides and such. Now, the workers do it for us, a little bit of beans, a little bit of macaroni, and a little bit of coleslaw. The brisket was a bit too thin and dry. But it still tastes good. I prefer Lockhart’s in Bishop Arts, though. The ribs were okay and the bread was all warm and buttery! The service was good and the food great, even though a lot has changed. Don’t forget the delicious buttery bread that they give out!
The baby back ribs and brisket.... so good!!!! The rolls; so soft, airy, very good!! The cole slaw needs a little more flavor, pretty bland? The beans could use some molasses but pretty good. The crew, top notch!!
Wifey and I strolled in last year for the first time. We've always passed by other locations and finally pulled in to try it out. It's our favorite spot now for barbecue. The fresh rolls and warm peach cobbler on vanilla ice cream is pure bliss!
Although food is terrific, I was taken back when management came out with a clear container marked THIS IS NOT OPTIONAL and proceeded to collect the workers phones (which were put away out of sight)! What if there is an emergency in which a family member needs to contact them? What if they need to call out for an emergency situation here? They need to be treated as young adults they are. SHAMEFUL!!!!

Great place for a good barbecue brisket meal. Stopped kinda late in the evening and had a wonderful meal. The staff was very helpful with our decisions on what to eat and continued to check in on us. The fresh rolls were served during our meal and What-a-Treat! They were baked fresh, buttered, and served warm. All together the evening and meal were great.
