I'm a little bias cause I'm from Chicago and I know it won't taste exactly the same. The fish and Chicken are on point, shrimp and other fried foods. Standard Perch, Talapia and catfish. The lemon pepper powder is bangin and the pizza puffs remind me of my childhood ?. Just make sure if you've never tried a pizza puff you ask for no lemon powder. I'm not sure why they put lemon powder on a pizza with no fish ?. They moved their store to a better location and the store is cleaner with less "troubled" traffic. My only grip is the mild sauce is a no for me dawg. Not that you shouldn't atleast try it but it's not Chicago style mild sauce. Other than that since J&J fish is far away go get you some fish fry and wings you won't be disappointed. ?
I expected it to be like the ones in Indiana. Close, but still different. Indiana you get the whole wing in a aluminum tray of 25, 50, 100 etc. Here you get wing pieces counted instead. The mild sauce is really decent, but not the same. Happy they had pizza puffs. When I went in I asked a lot of questions which I think I annoyed the young man. I didn't mean to, but I have to ask questions about purchases I'm making. Overall its a 3.5 out of 5.
The fish was as good as it's always been. I am not sure why people are complaining about the new location. I thought it was great! Will continue coming back.
It's good. It's nothing super special about the flavor of the fish itself but it is fresh and they give you plenty of it. I wish there was just a bit more seasoning on the filet. But it's good.
Horrible customer service. Can't tell you about the food because the guy with the grey eye was rude before even placing the order. I watched him from the car eating food and not washing his hands, before dealing with customers orders. Then the cook was touching food with his bare hands. Ya'll can keep it...
I love their fish it's the s*** I love it they're jumbo shrimp is great i would give them 5stars but they ne3d to make shurw to take the shell off the shrimp and devain them. Just always double-triple check seafood
This is the most worse dried out cat fish fillet and over cooked fries that I have ever had I wish that I could give them a zero star but unfortunately I can’t I have to give them something so I rate them a 1 star I would not recommend this place to nobody…….. they trash
Its terrible....took all the breading off the shrimp and it had scailng way past the tail wasn't devained....wouldn't recommend ever.
I purchased a Philly cheese steak sandwich and it had plastic in it,the guy didn't want to give me the owners number but instead he was rude like it was my fault
I drove all the way from McKinney for some of their jumbo shrimp. I spent time, gas and money and my shrimp was overcooked. I can’t even eat it. I’m not about to drive back 30 miles and I won’t be patronizing them again.
