Wow! Fantastic Texas barbecue with all the trimmings. We have been eating at Sammy’s for longer than we can remember. But we moved out of town and don’t get to come here as often. We came for lunch today and it was amazing. My wife had the brisket and I had the turkey and both were perfectly smoked, tender and very flavorful. But the sides are out of this world as well. Great french fries and onion rings, both of which are prepared fresh when you order. They have homemade fried okra, coleslaw, and it goes on and on. The staff are very friendly and the restaurant is in a great, rustic, Texas themed setting. It’s in the heart of uptown, and easy to get to from anywhere. I know this sounds like an ad but it’s just that it’s so good I want other people to discover it as well!!

Best BBQ I've ever had. The guys behind the counter were super helpful in choosing the meals, as I had never been there before. The meal was delicious. The server was very nice, helpful, and quick! Can't wait to visit Dallas again to eat here.

The service alone is worthy of 6 stars. They were immensely friendly and kind, explaining the menu when we arrived and taking incredibly good care of us. The food was outstanding, best fried okra and brisket I've had in a while. Definitely needs a returning trip
Good food and good prices.Meat on the sliced brisket was juicy and tender. Also had spicy sausage and it was good as well. Not super spicy.

As the saying goes, found this place by a happy accident. We're from out of state and came across Sammy's looking for BBQ. The reviews DID NOT LIE. Harry greeted us as soon as we walked in then explained the menu board and sides. Price and quality when we ordered food were unbelievable. We were checked on a few times during our dining experience to see if everything was ok and if we needed anything. Everything from the customer service to their attentiveness to our dining experience to the food was off the charts. Go with confidence and you'll not be disappointed.
This place is awesome. Small place with really friendly service, great BBQ. Parking is in the back.
