I live in Orlando, but i had a family member that lived in Dallas who recently passed away 2 months ago.. and he always said if and when i come to Dallas stop at Rods Catfish Kitchen.. the food here is amazing and don’t forget to taste Rods signature sauce..
Stopped by Rod’s for the first time last week when we came though Dallas. It was so good that on our way back to Oklahoma today we decided we would have it again. The pineapple mango habanero sauce was so good on the chicken I decided to try it on the fish. He was unsure about doing it so he let me sample it to see what it would taste like before he put it all over my order and I simply gave him a HELL YEAH as soon as it hit my tongue. If you go for fish I suggest you give it a try. Even if you don’t add the sauce the food and hospitality are definitely worth a trip!!!!
SOOOOO. I would have took a Photo of the Catfish and fries but nothing was left. I could have took picture of the Extra Crunchy!!!!! Honey BBQ/Lemon Pepper wings with fries but oops. The food was so good I wasn’t thinking about a picture. The fish was seasoned and crunchy and the wings are so delicious. The fries!!! Lawd. They top it off with some kind of parsley or green garnish that is perfect for presentation!!! And last but Absolutely not least, the Young Lady who greets me(i think her name is Bri) has to be the sweetest person ever!! She greets with a smile as if she wants you in the restaurant!!! Makes you feel good about spending your hard earned money with them. Please try them ASAP. I’m making my way thru the menu. I just wish they made their own ranch. BUT, the food is so good, I didn't need it!!!
Omg!!!!! The food was soo good! Catfish was on point! Best catfish I’ve had in Dallas and I’ve been here for years. I’m sad I didn’t order a larger plate. Can’t go back that often cause I’m trying to get skinny. But my next cheat meal will be from this place ?
I got the Cajun wings with fries and mac and cheese. All I can say is this place is definitely my new go to?. Everyone is so nice and welcoming and the food is amazing. Definitely a must try. Would 100% recommend
Food is GREAT.. I've had the fried fish, they have this dipping sauce that is GREAT.. And the lemon pepper wings are seasoned perfectly.. BUT Their Customer Service is AWESOME!!
Food excellent.. Just happened upon in when I googled. I pass that area all the time.. I never notice.. Had friend get me food from there yesterday. The fish and even fries delicious. Their tater sauce home made. All on point.. Will definitely get food there again.. Still eating fish and tasting just as good today.

I've been coming since Rod's opened, and I've not been disappointed. The first time I tried the catfish, it took me back when my father would do a fish fry for the family. I almost cried. It was so good. I called to let them know. Thank you for always being pleasant, professional, and serving the community. You guys are my go-to place for a fresh meal. Oh, and Tiffanies is soooo delicious for a quick dessert.
