I was really excited to try this place out. I visited yesterday and was left disappointed. One of my favorite seafood comfort dishes is fish n chips so I decided to try it here. A big mistake!First, the fish was GREASY. So unless you like your fish drenched in oil, I would avoid ordering this. I used napkins to to remove the oil.Next, the fish tasted just ok. I was like the cook almost burnt the fish and instead of making a fresh batch served it anyway. However it was my first time here, so maybe all of the fish taste like like that.Up next let’s talk about the fries. I never avoid eating fries, because I really enjoy eating French fries. These fries were not good at all. I tried two and left the rest on the platter. The only good thing? Surprisingly the only thing I really liked was a side! The fish n chips came with a side and I selected the mixed veggies.Whatever sauce they use tasted great. It was just a mix of onions, broccoli and carrots. And it tasted better than the fish n chips.Moral of this story. Don’t order the fish n chips unless you want burnt, oily fish. I heard the ceviche was pretty good, so try that instead or really anything else. There are also a ton of other vendors and restaurants. The next time I visit I will give one of the other restaurants a try instead.

I posted a review on Google regarding our recent visit at this location. The food and the service was poor… and paying $73 dollars to eat on paper plates was a surprise within itself…I posted a review of our experience a jus so happened the manager replied to my review.. his response was filled with sarcasm posing as an apology along with an undertone of having black patrons eat at this establishment is not high on my list.. We had : shrimp pasta… the pasta was overcooked Redfish with lemon butter caper.. overcooked and bland Coleslaw… had better from Lone John Silver Red Beans and Rice… Good Crawfish Hushpuppies… Very Good Seafood Gumbo…. Good The thing that was so obvious I never saw any other post whether positive or negative where management responded…. other than mine… but I maybe my blackface made the target easier… To anyone thinking of sitting at this establishment… please think again .. and if there were a way for me to post his response …. I would ….

It was mix of feelings for my party of 20... Those who had fresh or grilled food were happy with their meals but those who had fried items were disappointed. I believe the frying oil was old and burnt which just made everything taste bad. I had the fish and chips and the fish was very dark oily and tasted burnt. My side of mixed vegetables was really good and was the only thing I ate. I don't like throwing away food but I couldn't force myself to eat the oily burnt food.

Rex's seafood and Market is AMAZING.... great location great vibe... the Lady who check me out walked me through all the wild caught fish and seafood options because I only eat wild caught... she was very welcoming and could tell she loves her job and does a great job. You can dine in and eat there or get fresh fish to go... I just cooked the wild caught red fish and it was amazing. Keep up the great work I'll be back very soon.

I think we had half the menu on our table. From boiled shrimp, fried oysters, calamari and crawfish hush puppies with amazing dipping sauces to Sesame tuna with sautéed spinach and sweet potato fries, tuna poke bowl and blackened shrimp fettuccine Alfredo. And, it's all good the second time around. Plenty of beer and wine and even frozen rosé. P.S. the big a$$ Ghirardelli brownies...get one! ?

I love the fish and chips here. They are battered and crispy and flavorful. They have a good craft and local beer selection as well. Seating is limited with the crowds on weekends (that's obvious).

Starting from the service … and the food everything was terrible, I came to Dallas on vacation and I was expecting to have better experience than this. The soup was extremely spicy so you couldn’t eat it , the fish was full of butter and fat, you have to wait 40 mins or one hour to get served. I won’t recommend this places. Worst experience ever

Lobster roll and a Bloody Mary on a Saturday market day. Lucked out and got seated at the bar. We shared a Connecticut style lobster roll with sweet potato fries. They were kind and split it onto 2 plates for sharing. Lovely service

My mom has seafood allergy all her life and when she has been doing chemotherapy, she lost her seafood allergy and this is the first place we went to. So, when we were here, it was such a special moment. She can finally have fish ‘n chips after 45 years of being allergic to seafood. So, I would say I love this place and also because they serve fresh and delicious food ❤️?

Shrimp appetizer was really good! It was hot and flavorful. It came with freshly toasted buttered French bread. YummThe smoked trout dip was pretty good. I would give is a B-. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful!
