I had this place once b4 on a weekend it was packed and 5 stars. Came today for lunch and if it was my first time or I didn't live 45min away I'd never go back other than to give it back. I got the fish and shrimp basket fries only reason for 1 star. Fish was so thin with way to much batter overcooked the shrimp was so hard over fried like rubber. Ordered wings over cooked. Got crab shrimp boil shrimp had a powder aftertaste. Just not the quality I had b4 so disappointed will not be driving 45min for the hit and miss.
I really liked this place. The service is good and the boils + sauce are good however they do not thoroughly divine and clean their shrimp! They are also a little pricey compared to other seafood boil restaurants. I got food poisoning and sharp stomach pains two hours after eating here which was terrible. Unfortunately, It’s not worth it don’t risk your health eating here. Maybe try ordering the other options outside of the shrimp but I wouldn’t recommend.
Place is very cute nice staff and the KING CRAB ? IS AMAZING! The sauce was super yummy too! I’ll definitely be back!!
Usually I prefer this location over the Arlington, but today it was off!! $90 just for myself which was expected. I got a drink , crablegs , shrimp, sausage and potatoes. The quantity was good. It was the taste! The sauce was terrible. Very Very VERY oily. The seasoning wouldn’t stick, it just slide off. You only have one time to mess up my food. I’ll stick to my go to place. Half the price and always a hit !
This restaurant is located in a strip mall just off Frankford Rd. It is easy to find and easy to get in and out of. There is disabled parking right in front, and plenty of regular parking around it.When I walked in, I was pleasantly surprised by its decor and feel. It was fun and lively, as well. I was in for a late lunch and they were filling up. They have some great choices on the menu. There is also a small bar that you can sit at. The music was playing loud, but not so loud that you can't hold a conversation.I got the shrimp basket with Cajun fries. I ordered a side of hush puppies to try, as well. The shrimp was pretty good. I didn't notice any Cajun flavors on those, pretty sure they were just a regular order. The fries were delicious. The tartar sauce and cocktail sauce were well made. The hush puppies were too plain and mushy on the inside for me. Kind of reminded me of a cake pop, inside. But, my sister loved them. Overall, it was a good experience. The staff was friendly and they were quick with everyone's orders.
This place was an every Friday night feast for me but I had not been since the reopening after the pandemic. When I say this was a total disappointment I will never ever step foot in this place again. The shrimp were so hard to peel I honestly got tired of trying to pull the shells off I just gave up I have never had to fight so hard to eat shrimp and they were hard. The crawfish was bad the meat in the tail was mushy and was the worse I've ever had. It was lukewarm not hot at all. I shared with a friend if I wake up sick throwing up it was from this horrible meal...it was $35.00 that should have been flushed down the toilet. I only give a star because of the location...
I would really only give 1/2 star however that is not an option. This was a sad disappointment. We ordered 3 pounds of crab legs and were only able to do good to eat 1. Way over cooked . We could not get any meat from shell. The shrimp was over cooked. The shell would not come off . Spent 160.00 on the worst food ever. We showed the guy that works there the problem we had with the crab legs . His response was all of our crab is that way. VERY UPSETTING.
Catfish basket was full of salt, not very flavorful just salty and tasted like it was fried in grease with onion rings or something other than fish. Very dry/over fried. The fries were good. I wouldn’t recommend getting the catfish basket. For $13 it’s a waste of money. I couldn’t even finish my food cause it was too salty and not good. ?

This place is amazing! It's definitely ain't no Red Lobster cause this has flavor!! I did the Cajun spice with the Mild heat level it was perfect! Had 3lbs Crab legs, sausage, craw fish, shrimp, potatoes, and corn all tasted amazing! Definitely worth checking them out!Went right after lunch time place wants bust but was steady with to go orders. Music was turnt up and the vibe was pretty good and staff sure didn't mind me making a mess and were very friendly! Spent about $180 which wasn't bad. I think for the same thing I paid $200 at another place. But the flavor at Red Claw was so much better! Definitely be back!
