First time having breakfast here and it did not disappoint! Filling and delicious! We took our visiting vegan friends there and they were so excited to order anything they wanted from the menu without having to make substitutions. I wish there was one near south Fort Worth because I’d go every weekend if it was closer! ?
I'm not vegan but still venture for good food. I found that today at Project Pollo. The wings were tasty, flavorful, and in my opinion convincing. The fries were delicious!!! I also tried the burger, it was a standard burger, nothing special, but if you're vegan and you're craving burgers, this is good to order. They have 3 lemonade flavors that are amazing, compostable cutlery which I love, and a lot of options for when I come back--including chicken and waffles served on the weekends! The mac and cheeze was okay, could use more flavor but I enjoyed it. Definitely worth exploring, vegan or not.
Project Pollo is a vegan fast food joint that doesn't give a cluck, but it has found a way to give back with its pay what u can.We had the Nashville chicken sandwich, the Chicken wings, Mac and cheese, papas, and tots. Project Pollo wings were delicious with great flavor and crispy "skin" but the texture was a little off. The Nashville chicken sandwich had an amazing texture, but the sauce tasted burnt and a little too salty. The papas, tots and Mac and cheese all tasted great with a good amount of flavor. There strawberry lemonade was ???.Project Pollos pay what u can is what really stood out to us. They are making vegan choices available for all. Anyone can come and enjoy either a vegan 12pc popcorn chicken or Mac and cheese and you pay what you can afford.Overall, Project Pollos food was good and we will definitely return when in the area.Food 3/5Service 4/5Atmosphere 5/5Parking 5/5Cleanliness 5/5
Project Pollo used to be my favorite restaurant. Recently they changed their menu and I have hated the flavorless new items. I used to get the Chipotle chicken wrap which is no longer available. I absolutely hate their new cheese recipe too. I have visited 4 locations and all the food is disgusting since the change. I am sad to say that I used to go 3 times a week but will no longer be endorsing them. They are too expensive and the food is not good.
I’m not vegan or vegetarian and I believed this restaurant is highly comparable to your typical chicken sandwich place. I order the popcorn chikn, Nashville hot and original sandwich with fries. Everything was seasoned to perfection. Usually plant based meats are very salty and this was not the case. My sandwich was crispy and delicious. Although I do not like my Nashville hot, sweet at all, it was a great complement to the flavor profile. Overall really great experience from the customer service aspect to the quality of food. The wait time was moderate. Not super quick but I didn’t feel like it took too long given they were making the food fresh. I would go here, the only problem is that it is not close.
I was curious about their vegan chicken and this restaurant, and even more curious when I saw it on Shark Tank. The servers were fantastic, Davion was busy assisting customers, opening the doors for customers, and bringing flatware/orders with a great attitude. I was impressed with the customer service! I noticed a “pay what you can” section on the menu board which is so incredible. What a great community offering! The Original chicken sandwich was SOOO delicious! The breading was crispy and the inside of it wasn't soggy like most plant-based sandwiches I've tasted. The pickles were so good, thick and dill and they complimented the sauce very well.My shake! Oh boy, that strawberry oak milk shake. I have to stay away from dairy so I was truly happy for it. It had real strawberries at the bottom. Saturday was a super hot/humid day so a cold shake was definitely just what I wanted!I also ordered the kids chicken nugget meal. The tots were shaped in letters and you couldn't overtly tell the nuggets were vegan. My little doesn't eat meat anyway and she actually ate a few of these! Score. We enjoyed our visit and will recommend it to others!
This place is great. The food was tremendous. Even has a drive-through. Check them out on Instagram, it will tell you that they are going to have a roaming truck, popping up all over the country and adding three new locations every month. They plan on a crazy expansion. The manager, Kelsey was super nice. She went over and above to serve us. Thanks a bunch!
Literally the best vegan fast food I’ve ever had.
It pains me to write this review because we are vegan and love what this restaurant stands for. I told myself to try this place a few times before writing a review because I really wanted it to be 5 stars. But this was our 3rd visit, and it just doesn't get any better. First 2 times we went and the fries and nuggets were cold....Mac and cheese noodles weren't noodles anymore. Just tiny pieces everywhere. Today we waited 25 minutes for our order...ordered 2 kid Mac and cheeses, backyard burger, fries and a chicken salad. When my husband drove back to Mckinney where we live, there were no Mac and cheeses, and no backyard burger. We did however get a grilled burger melt. But look at the picture...the patty was basically non existent. And our straws were so badly damaged we couldn't use them either. I want to love this place..but I can't. Not yet.
Excellent food! We had the chicken sandwich deluxe and my son had the wings. I’m not a wing person but my husband is and tried them and said they were fabulous! He had the garlic parmesan. Sam, Davion and Tiesir provided super friendly and helpful service.
