Great food, service was very slow and drinks were too expensive
Anti-climatic considering it was 7:15 pm on a Saturday night and we were the ONLY couple dining for the next 30 minutes! Very upsetting.
We arrived and no signage to indicate directions to restaurant, bar or hotel. We were greeted by no one at the restaurant desk, we had to walk into the restaurant to be told that it was reservations only when we had a reservation HAD we been asked. We were then given a piece of copy paper listing a Mother’s Day brunch menu. The group and I were anticipating to be served from the usual menu. There were special requests that were denied because “it’s not on the menu that way”. (I.e a side of bacon or a side of egg) the portions of the food was less than pleasing since the pricing was above the norm of a high end brunch. The waitress was kind but was quick to remove our dishes every time we finished something, our experience overall was rushed, unsatisfactory, and just downright different. My group and I, won’t be returning.
Birthday weekend: the waitress was trying, they wouldn’t let us add to our order food that they obviously but wouldn’t let us have it. Who wouldn’t want $10 or more added to a order? ! They seemed to have more staff at the pool. I didn’t enjoy the potatoes and had off-brand ketchup, didn’t receive water on time that we took those that didn’t show up. I want to stress it wasn’t the waitress fault but she was the bearer of bad news. Thanks for my cheesecake.
The atmosphere is lovely, but the food was really lacking. I ordered the veggie Benedict, but there was nothing green on the plate. Not even garnish. The English muffin had been toasted in advance and was hard and dry. It had a slab of mozzarella and a thin slice of tomato. Very underwhelming. The starter salad tasted like packaged lettuce and was limp iceberg not butter as it said on the menu. If it costed $8-9, no problem, but they are charging a premium price. They need a chef who knows how to make a nice presentation. This was like a short order cook prepared it.
Restaurant is nice and bright, our server was awesome and very attentive. We couldn't give a five star due to a few things: Food was okay - seemed some dishes sat under heat lamp and portions small for the price. Live music was good but a bit loud. Lastly, validated valet should be offered. It is important especially in area where there is no parking available. Otherwise - nice - especially touring the 11th floor.
Steak was cooked to perfection! Would go to Perle on Maple again.

Nobody came never to take the order. We were 3 tables
It could have been a good evening and it ended up being disappointing. They were obviously short on staff and whomever did the job assignments has no idea how the bar, the dinner room, the room service and the kitchen are working. The 2 waiters did the best they could with the guidance they had. They were very nice and ended making our starter and our deserts free. We waited over an hour to get our starter. Then the kitchen somehow messed up and did not prepare my wife's dish. So mine ended up big a little dry (probably kept warm under an IR lamp) and hers was overcooked, probably because the kitchen was busy preparing meals for room service. The cocktails were great and as advertised. The wines were good though my wife's was not what we ordered. The live music was nice and the sound tracks after the singer was done were pretty good. It's the main restaurant of a Le Meridien hotel, which calls for French style, food and etiquette....I know small bistros in Paris that do a better job. We'll give them another chance....once they have staffed back up.
