The food was delicious. Definitely recommend the brisket. Tender and tasty. The waiter made sure we had everything we needed once we were seated. Warning: as it gets close to closing time, they start to run out of items on the menu so get there early.

Now this was some real great Texas BBQ. Terrific and affordable BBQ given its quality and portion sizes. The brisket and pork ribs were my favorite. Sides of Mac n cheese and potato salad were almost just as good. Be prepared for a wait because this place is so dang good

If you love barbecue, you’ll love this place. It’s casual. You order your food and seat yourself. The meat and meal options are good. I had beef brisket with sides of cole slaw and beans. Everything was great. Also ordered the cookies for my desert option; they were sufficiently fattening. The restaurant is located in Deep Ellum, near downtown. I would not recommend walking to the restaurant at night. Some areas are a bit sketchy.

We went right after the lunch crowd and there wasn't a wait at all. We got a little bit of everything and nothing disappointed. The brisket was juicy, the turkey smoked, and the sausage was my daughters favorite! They have a beef rib that is amazing! Definitely worth a stop if your only in Dallas for a night or even for a week!

Food was delicious! All BBQ is over priced in my opinion. It usually all tastes the same to me. Pecan lodge was a bit different. The flavors were a great surprise. I’d expect better seating options for the price range. I would not have a chair in this condition in my dining room. Everything else was great. Staff was super friendly and on point!

The pulled pork was not cooked all the way. Very red looking. The nacho plate was okay but needed some bbq sauce and the only sauce on the table came out like it was watered down and lacked flavor. Overall, little disappointed for the quality of food for the price.

Great Smokey flavor and loved the rub on the ribs! We got the brisket, ribs, burnt ends, and house made sausage - all really delicious but highly recommend the brisket and ribs! Our sides were fried okra and potato salad. They have nice house-barbecue sauce, good selection of drinks, and offer takeout containers if you can’t finish your meal. It wasn’t crowded when we were there, and nothing was sold out - granted it was a Wednesday lunch time.

The meat was cooked to perfection but overall the side dishes were lack luster. They were not seasoned properly and had no real flavor.

First time at this restaurant, and we were not disappointed! We went for lunch, and there was already a line waiting to get in at 10:45 AM for the 11 AM opening. You walk up to order. I had the Hot Mess baked potato--sweet potato with brisket, bacon, cheese, green onions, and chipotle sour cream. Delicious and big enough for two people. I also had the peach cobbler which was very good and also big enough for two people. Free refills on non-alcoholic drinks. Seating inside or out. Highly recommend!

Previously an Old town favorite. After doing some regional BBQ tasting recon, returned unimpressed w/ how dry the brisket was. Sides were good. Ribs were awesome. Fried ribs, not so much. Overall, I left with a sense of complacency, that they are content on pumping out meats compared to tender love and care as before. Still a good Q. Gotta try the sausage. Service is amazing . Must try in the area.
