First time at Bishops Arts District and Paradiso didn’t disappoint us. Went in for Father’s Day brunch. At first they said the wait is an hour and 20 mins but they called us within half an hour. We were seated not at the best location, we could see the chef’s cooking & preparing everyone’s meal. Bit hot & humid even indoors. Should have stayed outdoors as the courtyard is beautifully designed. We did enjoy the food and mostly the Manager kept coming to ask if everything was tasty and good to our liking. Our waitress looked bit stressed. Overall a great experience. Must visit.
Good experience. We made the reservation for the day after we actually visited. Even thought there were plenty open seats inside, they sat us in the patio. Patio was nice and pretty.. but it was hot.. so not very comfy.Server was excellent, and gave good recommendations.Drinks were on point, and the food was excellent.
Great experience from walking in the door! We didn't have a reservation, came on a whim and were told it might be an hour to sit in the (beautiful) courtyard. We said that's fine and walked around the district, only for it to take 40 minutes to be seated! The courtyard is beautiful and the food was delicious. The watermelon cucumber salad was awesome and the cherry decadence cake was one of the best I've had. Everything is pricey, so I would come thinking of splitting your meal with someone else if you're a casual diner. If not, great experience and delicious desert.
The most beautifully designed restaurant I’ve ever been to in Bishop Art District ? hands down. Gorgeous furniture, lovely interior, beautiful outdoor, and amazing food; I mean what else do you expect from a restaurant. Oh, forgot to mention that they have the coolest washrooms ever! Food might be a little pricey but totally worth the experience.
INCREDIBLE experience! My wife and I went there for our anniversary and were gifted with champagne to celebrate. The hummus, pizza, pasta and drinks were also awesome. Atmosphere topped it all off and the best of all was the service. Virginia was an incredible server and was very attentive to any wants we might have had. She certainly made the experience a big part of what it was. Looking forward to going back!
Paradiso has arguably one of the best patios in Dallas. The vibes/ambiance of the restaurant as a whole are out of the world. My husband and I enjoyed brunch on the patio and honestly could’ve sat there for hours. The food and cocktails were very good and decently priced. We will definitely be back to try more menu items.Side note: reservations are a MUST. The wait time on Saturday at 1:30pm was over two hours.
Loved the place when we walked up. Atmosphere is off the charts. Service was good. Wine was great. Food was mediocre. Will go back and give it another try though. Probably a pizza. They looked great. I had the steak, not so great.
I was so excited to come here, our reservations were set weeks in advance. I looked on the website, Instagram and looked at reviews, I had really high expectations. I was so disappointed and let down. Since I do not eat beef and pork, I always look at the menu, and I did think I could eat a lot, but the options where limited. Don't get me wrong, it is beautiful inside. There are great options for photos, so if you are looking for pictures, this is a good place but that is the highlight. The only gem here was our server Misty (I think her name was, a sweet young, petite girl). She was polite, knowledgeable of the menu and attentive. For the appetizer, I ordered the Soppressata pizza. I knew the name sounded familiar, but on the menu it said it was made with mozzarella, galic Basil and honey. Sounds delicious right? Until I overheard another waiter talking to the table next to us and said it was basically a pepperoni pizza. I called our waiter over and told her I did not know it was pork so I could not eat that, so she said she would talk to the chef to fix it. It's not like this was something that was on me, that's a clear misstep on the menu. They offer a sausage pizza, that lists sausage as an ingredient and they have a chorizo pizza, that lists chorizo, so why wouldn't the Soppressata pizza say pepperoni? Highly disappointed. The pizza I received was basically a margarita pizza, no Calabrese honey (which is why I ordered the original pizza). The pizza was delicious, the crust was perfect. The drinks, again were beautifully made, but were over priced, extremely small and lacking in flavor. Again highly disappointed. For the entrees, I was told the shrimp pasta was not a good choice to get so I got the Chicken ($26) and he got the salmon ($28). The salmon was okay flavor wise, but the skin was not crispy. The beans were good though. But for almost $30, I at least expect crispy skin. And the chicken was so dry, I could not even eat it. I was so disappointed at this point I was ready to end my date night early and leave. Our waiter was apologetic and said that the chicken was wood fired, but that does not equate to so dry, it sucked the saliva out my mouth. She offered to switch it out with something else, but since my options were limited I did not switch it out.Lastly, on their page (from the end of December) said Monday and Tuesday nights, they have smores, I did not see or hear of any smores there. Overall, it is a beautiful place to look at, but it is extremely loud restaurant that I do not recommend for date night, with lack luster options and flavors, that I do not recommend for foodies but a beautiful place to take photos. Even after sending my entree back, we spent $60 before tip. After tip, that's almost $100 paid to leave hungry. Maybe when they revise the menu next season I would think about returning, but I would not make the effort. If it wasn't for our amazing server this would have been 1 star.
I will definitely be back to try more menu items and just hangout. We (Mari & I) really enjoyed the ambience, the drinks, and the delicious food. The food was perfectly seasoned and prepared. It's a whole vibe here. They have a nice bar and great patio seating as well. Our server Virginia was awesome and very attentive to us. ??
This restaurant has a great patio and beautiful vaulted ceilings with lush greenery inside. Great area in Bishop Arts with wood-fired pizza! The best thing about this place is the food, but the cocktails win awards every year I'm told. They were as good as advertised!
