Nice breakfast spot on the bottom of hotel. Has a separate coffee cashier that you can pickup coffee Togo at. Place was busy but had a 15-20 min wait for party of three. Service was good. Coffee was good. Had mimosas with breakfast. Service was good. We stayed nearby so was quick scoot to the breakfast spot. Worth visiting.
So we walked to this place from our hotel, The Thompson, and there was a wait, but the hotel was really nice and had multiple seating areas. We were able to get a breakfast cocktail from the bar while we waited. Once seated our hostess and waitress were very nice and friendly. The atmosphere was very comfortable and bubbly. The food was really good also. I had breakfast tacos and my husband had pancakes with egg whites ?. Whenever we decide to go back to Dallas, we will most definitely be back to Overeasy!
Fun retro mid-modern diner tucked into the corner of the iconic Statler hotel in downtown Dallas. Breakfast/brunch available all day, with a delightful coffee bar in the lobby if you need to wait for a table. A couple fresh Americanos, banana nut bread, and a gooey butter cake proved the perfect appertif before our weekend brunch. The chicken fried steak was fantastic. Avocado toast and deviled eggs were quite tasty. Fun atmosphere to boot. Service was fine, not amazing, but it didn’t detract from a great start to the day. Definitely recommend.
Came here for breakfast and will definitely be returning. I sat at the bar. Service was fast and attentive. Their breakfast menu is straight forward and I went with the recommendation (short rips).
I ordered the chicken and biscuits and replaced the bacon for sausage. I could not have been happier with my meal. The chicken was extremely tender and flavorful. What really brought the dish together was the generous portion of gravy. I will definitely be coming back. Give them a try :)
Not friendly with strollers and wheelchairs, I was waiting by the table with a big stroller. Not really trying to take a table or something just waiting there any my wife was in the front getting in waiting list, then the manager yelled at me say I have to wait in the front, I have to lifted up the whole stroller twice to get into the front lobby, and no one offered help only the busboy helped me when we came in. Bad experience for first time visiting Dallas and having the first breakfast in Dallas.
For the this restaurant to be connected to an high end hotel you’d think the hotel you’d think the customer service would be phenomenal! Well, it wasn’t! My server with the long braided pony tail was very simple with us. Her first approach was. “Are you guys ready to order?”. She was friendlier to her coworkers more than her customers. The food was okay, nothing to brag about. Not to mention they’ll serve your Mimosas in a plastic cup of their glasses are dirty.
Immensely enjoyed the aesthetic of this place. The brushed gold and marble combined with a low white light is just *chef's kiss* We came for lunch but I would love to come for an early morning breakfast looking over the corner with a hot cup of coffee. Food was good, not great. Our server Destinee was charming and courteous. Great spot! Good vibes.
Incredible food mixed with a great ambience. Our server Amanda was super friendly and gave us exceptional customer service. My girlfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed our meals. We’ll definitely be back in the near future! ?
Sooo Overeasy is nothing special to report. Basic breakfast spot. The wait was long only due to the staff not seating people quickly. I had to get someone to start seating people as there were plenty of tables open. The bar in the waiting area is useful to get your mimosas started while tables open up. Meh I won’t be back, there are other spots with a more exciting menu. What was ordered: Chicken & Gravy / Scrambled EggsChicken & Gravy = Gravy was tastyScrambled Eggs = Add some pepper & salt
