1 star for the hostess service. We called in for a reservation for my birthday and when we showed up, they told us that the reservation didn’t exist. We asked if we could get on the list and the rude hostess was extremely condescending and had 0 interpersonal skills. Told me I would be lucky to get seated at all. I then proceeded to discuss the reservation we made and she rudely told me that we called the wrong restaurant. There were a few more rude comments and so I nicely told her I would walk around and to have her add me to the list. What makes matter worse is that I am pregnant in my second trimester, with a 4 year old toddler and 2 year old in my stroller. As I tried to exit the restaurant, she just watched me struggle with my two children and stroller. There was nobody else at the front for her to assist, so she wasn’t busy. She just.. watched me as I struggled and tried to open multiple doors. I mean this isn’t part of her job description but clearly there is some normal social etiquette that Zoe the hostess is missing.
The food and service is always great!
The food was really good but I felt the waitress was not quite as efficient as she could have been because our main courses arrive before my husband had finished his starter course.
Overall, best seafood restaurant in Dallas! Great service, great food, great value!!!
Andrewâs the best - like the bartenders in the TV show âCheersâ.
We ate here for Father’s Day and the overall experience was extremely disappointing. We arrived and waited for a hostess for roughly 5 minutes before being greeted. After sitting down at our table we were notified that they were out of crab, which was unfortunate as a couple of the items we wanted to order had crab. We then waited for our food for over an hour while watching other tables that were seated after us eat their food and leave. And what exacerbated the situation was the fact that management did not apologize or even speak to us about the situation even though it was clear we were upset. It just seemed like the staff didn’t care and for such an expensive meal I found that incredibly distasteful.
Brought my wife for our anniversary, drove an hour to get there. Got there 10 minutes prior to reservation and waited for 35 minutes past our reservation time watching similiar parties seat before us. Wife's swordfish feature was very very dry, chowder and oysters were great as was the tataki. Service to get to the entrees was another 30 to 40 minutes. Spent a few weeks being very excited about eating there. amd was let down. Maybe it was an off day for them.
Amazing delicious food and exceptional service!!!
A wonderful meal. The only glitch in the evening was that the appetizers never came but we enjoyed our dinner so much, we decided not to pursue them.
I used to find Montlake Cut a special restaurant with great seafood. That has consistently changed for the worse over the years. The ambiance remains wonderful, but the food is not worth the price. I might as well go to Pappadeaux. Itâs sad.
