Have been coming here for the past year since me and my family moved to Dallas and since then, we go there almost every weekend. We dined in Monday night and the music was amazing as well as the service. We have tried almost every special on the menu and we can't decide which one is our favorite, the servers, the managers there are all great, always checking on our tables and actually caring about their customers, it's a great dining experience, I would definitely recommend the mambo taxi and anyone in the craving for Mexican food
I have came to this restaurant for the past 5 years and it is the best. The service and the food is AMAZING! As soon as I walk in i am greeted by two beautiful hostess and sat almost right away! I love the energy this place holds.
Waiter was supper nice however, we waited a while for food, drinks, and the owner or anyone really, never acknowledged us. We had a big party which is understandable however, I expected better customer services seems like they just wanted us out the door. We come all the way from Nashville TN I heard great things about this restaurant however, it did not meet my expectations. Also, do not order the shrimp fajita, $20+ for 7 shrimps and onions, definitely not worth it ! We spent $300+ just for us to leave unsatisfied !!
The chicken and rice soup was awesome! The quesadilla was great too! The ambiance was quiet and the service unobtrusive. Our visit was during an off time, yet drink refills were few and far between, which was disappointing. The salsa paired well with a very cold diet coke!
Go! Eat! Visit! Socialize! This is absolutely and hands down one of the BEST Tex Mex establishments in Dallas! I took my work team out for a Cinco de Mayo celebration, and was astounded by the quality of food, location, and level of customer service. What I first noticed was the quality of service when we first entered. We had two or three staff helping us. They were grownups (not kids), and it made a huge difference! We were seated in seconds. Now, the location is something out of a magazine. The area of town is tranquil, historic, and the windows are huge and there is a lovely scenery. Third is the absolute cleanliness of this place! They have Dyson Hoover's. They are super silent and effective. Every few seconds someone is deep cleaning the area. The furniture is beautiful. The mood lighting is perfect and music is tranquil and not too loud. Our waiter (I believe his name is Daniel) was simply wonderful! We had a gang of 9 folks, but it felt as is if staff were waiting on us hand and foot. DEFINITELY VISIT this hidden gem. I was astounded that I was able to get outta there with quite a reasonable price. 5 star service with a 3 to 4 star budget!
We went to the bar area in the seating area.,Service was bad. Asked for a drink menu and HIS RESPONSE WAS WE HAVE A LOT OF DRINKS. I was like OK. We ordered 1 round. Ordered food. Not once did him or the other waitress ask if we wanted another drink. No refills on tea and water that my boyfriend and brother in law got. It was POOR SERVICE. Food was Good though.
Never been a fan of MiCo and don't fully understand the hype. Every time I have visited any location, the service is slow, food terrible - even prior to the pandemic! People who don't know truly good Tex-Mex food are visitors here, and the Mambos really aren't all that. (yup, I said it out loud) If you want to wait 1-2 hours for an overpriced meal that will take extra time to get to you, not usually the correct order because they are too busy to pay attention, and not the greatest service but want to get drunk on a few mambos, go for it. Otherwise, I can recommend MANY other fabulous places worth your time and energy.
We wanted to get out after the ice storm and find something to eat. Really craving margaritas. Mi Cocina was open. They have an upstairs bar for adults only, which is great for couples without kids. Hard to find in Lakewood. Girardo took great care of us even while the bar was packed.
Not your typical Mexican food but fabulous. Vegan option was flavorful and filling. Tamales were moist and tasty. Enchiladas available with several options. Atmosphere and staff were awesome. We visited the Lakewood location. I highly recommend it.
I've been here a couple times now, and I've had a different experience each time I went. The first time I went, I got some enchiladas and they were hot and delicious! My friends and I got our food quickly and enjoyed our night. The next time I came here was with my family, and definitely wasn't the same experience as the first time I came. I ordered the exact same thing as last time, but it tasted really bland and old, like it had been sitting out and was sloppily reheated. My entire family also commented on how their food did not taste very good. The service we received was also not the best. My fiancé didn't even get his soda until halfway through our meal. Not sure if I would go here again.
