Decided last minute to take myself to lunch on a perfect Texas spring day. I had MiCo on my mind all morning because, well- the Rico Salad. I chose to sit at the bar. Not crowded, but also not empty. I ordered the house sangria....so good and my favorite salad with the house chili-garlic dressing and chicken. The bartender did not bug me, yet kept an eye out for my needs. In Dallas, Lake Highlands, it is easy and delightful to dine alone at Mi Cocina!
As a vegan I have shied away from Mi Cocina, an old favorite, and previously gave a bad review to a different location for their unwillingness to make basic accommodations. Well guess what? MiCocina now has a small vegan menu! I've tried the mushroom tacos and the mushroom fajitas and by gosh they're pretty dang good, assuming you like mushrooms. Unlimited chips and salsa are ?? as usual. Excellent value for the money. Also got incredibly good service on a Thursday evening not long before close.

First time at Micocina we’re from out of town, our server Andrew was awesome, your Manager Gloria is very attentive to all your guests. She made sure we were well taken care of with those mambo taxis and mixed fajitas were awesome.
Large outdoor patio was a great setting to have lunch and feel safe. Excellent service and delicious sour cream chicken enchiladas. Flan was stellar.
Nice Clean Dining room, delicious drinks, friendly staff and delicious food. Can't go wrong eating at MI Cocina
