The students at Pershing had a blast celebrating the Green House winners, after a year of competition, showing the character of a Pershing Lion. They enjoyed of a delicious lunch from Mi Cocina. The students expressed their gratitude to Mi Cocina for sponsoring this event. Thank you Mr. Iban Rodriguez for supporting us throughout the year. ?

Some of the reviews of this place were disproportionately bad, things may not have been super fantastic tasting but they werent bad. I was happy i chose to ignore the bad reviews. We came at about 8:30pm on a Sunday. Seemed like a pretty good time things were clearing out after the place clearly got rocked with a dinner rush. We ordered the "Pauleys" the "Tacos Mi Teirro" and the "Pollo Moderna" im on the Keto diet so for an upcharge I was able to upgrade my meal to have extra veggies instead of the rice. I felt my food, Pollo Moderna, was well seasoned and tasted good. Chicken was still moist and not dried out which was a nice surprise. We did order a side of Queso, and i gotta say that is just not good. Aside from being cold it basically just tasted like melted velveeta with their salsa, which is almost void of any flavor other than tomato, added to it. I spooned some on my chicken and something in the shape of a square clump fell out, clearly they didnt even melt it all the way. I dont recommend the Pauley's unless you've got a somewhat picky eater who is sensitive to spice. Its basically just a tortilla with hamburger meat in it. The meat isnt really seasoned. The service was good but our server was seemed whooped. Nothing against her I think she just was coming down from the rush. I had one drink, my usual a Jim Beam and club soda. They didnt have Jim Beam and substituted Jack Daniels. The cost was 9.50. Somewhat ridiculous if you ask me. All in all we enjoyed our meal, would come back. But beware of anything on the menu that comes with that Queso on it. As you see in some other reviews, it isn't good.

Had a great time at the restaurant. Food was fantastic, the server Matt was great. No drink went empty, and every time I felt like asking for something I didn't have a chance to look around because Matt was already there checking on our table. Dan the manager was also great, he was checking on all the tables to make sure our experience was up to par. Overall, coming back here as often as my schedule allows.

We went here for lunch, it was wonderful! There was no wait time, we got a booth without asking for one as well! The waitress was attentive, kept glasses full, and made sure we were taken care of at all times.

This mi Cocina always offers Fantastic service, that’s what keeps us coming back. The food and drinks have always been of superior quality than other Tex-Mex who try to imitate them. The Lady manager there is very kind and attentive, she always treat us like family (forgive me but I forgot her name). I will give 10/10

The food was great! Everyone in our party loved each dish. The service was appropriate and timely, and the staff was friendly and accommodating. I tried the Brisket Tacos and they were the best I've ever had.

Overall, I had a good experience at Mi Cocina. The wait staff was friendly, the food was good, and the restaurant itself was very clean. My complaint, and the reason I decided to give four stars rather than five, is that the restaurant was nearly completely closed up by 8:45 PM when they advertise to be open until 10 PM (it was NOT a holiday, nor did they tell us they were closing early). Even the chair cushions were all stacked. I had met a friend here to catch up and would have loved to stay, hang out, and maybe order another round of drinks. But we felt that we were being asked to leave over an hour before close. I completely understand beginning some close-up tasks before the restaurant actually closes to not have to stay as late. My issue is that it made us feel unwelcome at a restaurant that advertised to be open for over an hour still.

Amazing food for the Pershing Elementary staff. We all were so happy and full. Their were even leftovers that my staff happily took for dinner. We are so thankful for the generosity and support. We highly recommend the salsa also. Such a huge hit!

Good food, consistent and good service. One of our favorites.

I went on Monday night for a Birthday Dinner and I really loved the environment in the restaurant, it really felt like Dallas. The service was really good. The servers were on point. We had the server call Will and he was truly amazing. The food was fantastic. Those steak fajita were fire. I am definitely coming back
