First time at McKenzie’s today. They are going through the growing pains of a new business and location. However, the staff works hard to serve with limited capacity. The hostess could benefit from customer service training . On a good note, the food is delicious! The best oxtails I’ve ever had. So, if you place your order at McKenzie’s grab a seat and meet a friend while you wait ….that’s what I did.

everything we had was good, Kool aid was on point too.

Gas is over $3 Gallons, that is too expensive to be riding all over Dallas on a wild goose chase. Just drove 30 minutes to a closed establishment. Since noone bothered to update google or even write a review with the new address buts it’s 4343 Camp Wisdom on Dallas, where Michelles used to be .You welcome

Food is good but the portions have gotten smaller on the entree

4 1/2 stars for the quality of the food… My second time here with my Husband. I must warn you… you will be waiting a while… although online it states the hours of operation are from 11:30am-5:00pm … my Husband called and tried to place an order at 11:45am and he was told they won’t open until 12:30-12:45… I hate to say this but in my experience of dealing with” Black owned” establishments it seems as if they create their own schedules whenever without notifying the public… Overall we are here still waiting in line right now it’s 1:29pm we arrived at 12:20pm.. the food is good and the portions are larger than expected… I guess you can say it’s worth the wait if you are patient 1:47pm I finally was able to order

This was our first time here. When we arrived the line was to the door. After waiting like 10 minutes the line started moving quickly but then came to a stand still again. We waited in line for about an hour.Okay so they have different menu's for different days of the week. So we went on Sunday. I'll attach menu......I ordered the Turkey wings with dressing my sides were Mac and cheese and greens and kool-aid for the drink. My husband had the baked chicken with the same sides I had.Let me tell you this the portion sizes that you get are insane. They make sure that you get enough food and then have some left over for lunch the next day.As far as the taste..... The dressing was really good...the only thing I didn't like was the fact that it had onions..... But after I picked all the out and added the cranberry sauce it was really good. Same as my turkey wing. It was huge and flavorful. Now the greens I wasn't a huge fan of. It had flavor but it seemed as if it needed to be cooked a little more.As far as my husband plate. He enjoyed his food but didn't eat his greens. They also give you a choice of a roll or corn bread. The customer service is good but you can tell that it was a lot that they were taking on with long line, making sure the food was ready whenever they ran out of something, and the phone orders. I will most definitely come back to visit!

Today is my 1st time visiting McKenzie. The Oxtails are tender, the macaroni is cheesy and delicious, I'm also enjoying my chess pie.The staff are extremely friendly.

I NEVER leave a review but this place deserves one. I ate here once after eating sweet georgia brown and have never been back to sweet georgia brown...the food is great, I drive 45 minutes to get a plate. I've tried just about everything on the line. but hands down the black-eyed peas oxtails neckbones greens sweet potatoes mac and cheese is a must try. but EVERYTHING IS GOOD HOT AND FRESH.

A good soul food place. Service was a little slow and we had to wait awhile for our food. The good this is that i had to drive 30 -40 min home and the food was still got. The candy yams was on point and the fried chicken wings and fried okra was good. The mac and cheese and pork chops was good also.
