Great food and experience. If you've never been to Yakiniku Grill, ask for advice. A lot to choose from and having an experienced waiter like we did helps. I'd give the restaurant a 5 but my oyster was not fresh. Great experience overall.

Very great! We got the classic US beef tasting and it was very filling and delicious! Plenty of food, great value, and you certainly will not leave hungry. If I had one negative, it would just be that the spicy beef soup did not have a very distinct or obvious flavor. Aside from that, we thoroughly enjoyed our experience and the ambience at the restaurant. Perfect for a semi casual or more formal evening.

Food was good, our server was aloof and cold. Wouldn't mind going back if we had a different server.
The word that came to mind immediately was "pretentious." It's not a fancy place, and people were generally dressed for the beach in shorts, t-shirts, flip-flops, etc. But the attitude gave off a pretentious vibe. First, it was very noisy in there. All the sounds were competing. Couldn't hold a conversation across the table. Second, you cook your own meat. So, a small piece of American Wagyu Filet was $38, and you have to cook it at your table. It was tasty yes, but for $38? Pretentious. We also had a variety of sides. The kimchi was excellent - not too spicy. The Manpuku salad was nothing special. The wagyu/uni appetizer was overpriced. Three little pieces. Tasty, but not worth the cost. Asparagus was nice. We also had the salmon/avocado tartare, and it wasn't enough salmon. And it was an avocado paste. Regular sushi restaurants do it better. The crab ceviche was nice. All in all, the food was good, not spectacular, didn't like having to cook our own steak, very noisy. We probably won't be back.
