This is the best diner google recommended me so far. Located in suburb Downtown Dallas and the place looking like a rundown 60’s diner let me tell you it’s far from it once you get inside. Inside you’re greeted with a family atmosphere and very warm greeting. You get to sit yourself and take in all the warm family photos of the restaurant and mama said lines scattered all around the ceiling. Service is fairly quick and very friendly. The options on the menu should read portions are large because the meals definitely will fill you up and it’s cooked to order. Everything is prepared fresh and hot and delicious; filling every taste bud with mamas home cooked meals. The price for two people is mind blowing awesome. For two I spent no more than $30 including tip on both occasions and I feel like I should tip more for what they offer and how amazing the service and food is!! Definitely recommend coming here and giving this place a try you won’t regret it and you can’t use the excuse it’s a long wait!!

Happened upon this place whilst looking for breakfast! If you’re looking for classic diner food this would be a good spot to hit up. Coffee was okay, tasted a little too watered down. Tried the chicken fried steak breakfast and was VERY filling. Servers were great. As we were eating, it started to get really busy with a line outside the door.

Sweet staff and the best place for a quick breakfast. It’s TX comfort food! Always seated with fast service and I never know what to order bc everything looks so good. My boyfriend loves the chicken fried chicken breakfast. The cinnamon role is delicious and so is the bacon! The photos and sayings on the wall make me laugh every time. I will definitely take friends here when they visit me, as this is what I think of when I hear “Texas Diner.”

Found this after a “breakfast” search on Maps and will say it was worth taking the chance. While the interior looks a bit unmaintained the food was really good, specially the french toast and biscuits/gravy (which were huge). The service could improve, while it was busy they were fast with serving the food but not very welcoming. At the end of the day, I would definitely come back!

My husband and I stopped in for a late lunch on a Monday afternoon. I was surprised by how many people were there for such a hole-in-the-wall restaurant. Our server was friendly and the food was good, nothing super special. I don’t exactly think they’re going for mind-blowing dishes. As we were finishing our meal, we were offered a free slice of pie since they close at 2:30pm so that was a nice treat (on top of the banana pudding we already ordered). Would definitely go back to try more of their desserts and breakfast/lunch staples!

On my way to Fort Worth.decided to stop in here with high hopes after reading some reviews. It's been awhile since I stopped in a diner. Everything looked old and dated as I would expect. Felt cozy. The staff was friendly but seemed very overwhelmed with the amount of tables to take care of.My wife ordered biscuits and gravy with a side of hash browns and a cinnamon roll. She received all except the hashbrowns which we had to catch our waiter to remind her.I had a combo which contained eggs biscuits and gravy, hashbrowns and I chose a country fried steak.Everything was luke warm to cold. Wasn't alot of flavor. Honestly the best item I had was the biscuits. The biscuits are what you want to get from here. Solid. Everything else was just decent. It didn't help to have cold hashbrowns and cold eggs. As someone who has served tables I'm pretty sure my food sat in a serving window for awhile. For all those allergic to pecans note that the cinnamon roll has pecans in it. I'm glad my wife checks her food thoroughly before consuming because she would have had an anaphylactic reaction.

As soon as we arrived we noticed a pick-up order line leading out the front door. We found our way inside and seated with our water glasses and order taken promptly- without feeling rushed wish was really nice. Right away, we noticed now busy it was so I imagine we came during peak hours (around noon on a Fri.). Alicia, our waitress, was a delight! She was hospitable and provided such friendly service. I didn’t see his name tag but the man who seated us right away and cleared our plates deserves recognition as well. He made sure my cup of Diet Coke was topped off while we dined. I’m glad we stopped to dine at Mama’s. I highly recommend coming to this diner if you want some good service coupled with a hearty breakfast or brunch or a something tasty for lunch. We hope to be back!

We really enjoyed the atmosphere and the food (the chicken & dressing, Yummy!!?) We came during a Sunday busy lunch time but everyone who worked there was really nice and helpful. Sarah was our server- friendly, funny and helpful. We plan to come back soon!

My friend and I stopped in for breakfast before our adventures for the day. All the staff were kind and friendly. We were well taken care of! The food was home cooking done well. Thank you, Miss Carolyn, for the pie suggestion, coconut cream was delicious!!

A family favorite..Can't go wrong with anything on the menu..Home taste to all their dishes..That Sunday morning grandma came over and cooked taste..One of my favorite to visit when I'm in Dallas..
