Man you walk in and you can smell you’re in for a good meal. The best brisket I’ve ever had! Sooo tender and flavorful. The ribs, Mac and cheese, and potato salad were all great too. Unique place as they serve it by the pound and you eat off the paper, which just added to the experience imo.
We ordered brisket, ribs and sausage, with spicy coleslaw, blue cheese coleslaw and deviled eggs. We loved the food, quick service and an environment of an authentic Texan restaurant.
This place has the best ribs, hands down. They are huge! Lockhart is in a nice little niche part of South Dallas that's been revitalized. The area has a nice feel. Parking is tight, may need to park down the street and walk. But the places around is very eclectic. Warning the prices have gone up from $14.58/lb to $21.98 per lb for brisket and lean meat, so google menu is NOT correct. We got a 1/2 rack of ribs, 1 lb of brisket and 3 sides, bag of chips and bottled water. Total came to about $88.00. Very pricey $$.
Flew in from San Diego and missed lunch today so you've got to believe we loved the turkey, chicken, briscuit, sausage, potato salad, and mac and cheese here. The BBQ sauce is quite peppery and the potato salad was a bit spicy but I personally enjoyed both. I'm already craving the offerings again and wishing I'd tried the slaw, deviled eggs, and banana pudding.
What can I say the minute you walk into this restaurant the smell of smoked food hits you and your mouth starts watering. We ordered basically everything on the menu and even the special burnt ends. All the food was great the brisket was extremely juicy the ribs were perfect for what I like sticks to the bone not completely fall off the bone. The only thing that I would change is have more flavors of bbq sauce. Definitely would recommend this place and will be back if I’m in the area.
Wow! Great bbq. Smokey and labor Fil with great sides. We had the prime rib and brisket. The brisket was the best I’ve ever had. Deviled eggs were great too
The brisket was mouth watering!!!! The ribs so delicious the potato salad was spicy which as a pleasant surprise! Staff was super friendly and inviting this place came recommended by my brother who also does bbq, they did not disappoint!!
The best brisket I've ever had. Don't expect plates or silverware though. Served in butcher paper. Great baked beans (they have a kick to them) awesome jalapeno Mac and cheese. Well worth the drive. So good
Quite possibly the best brisket I’ve ever had. They spare ribs are amazing too. Staff is friendly and hospitable. I would highly recommend to any visitor or local!
