Arrived at around eight, their opening time, and there were already people lined up to eat! Very cozy and clean interior and kind service. We ordered chicken and waffles with gravy and potatoes. We waited for about 20 minutes and when the food arrived, it was worth it. The chicken was tender and juicy and with the gravy, it was the perfect combo. The waffles were soft and airy. And the potatoes…I love my potatoes. They were served fresh and hot with the perfect amount of *crunch*! Overall Jonathan’s was a great place to go, and according on how many people came for breakfast, it was their go-to spot too! Definitely will be coming back.

Unfortunately this restaurant was my first stop while visiting Dallas for the first time and I have to say I was very disappointed….. I came to support the black owned business and this restaurant is a prime example why it’s hard to support these types of businesses. When I entered the restaurant, I was not greeted and it took a second for someone to come acknowledge me. Once seated I was brought water and a menu eventually but after 15 minutes of just sitting there no one came to take my order though several servers were walking by looking at me. So I finally got up and left. Sad because it looked like it could be good food but I refuse to beg someone to serve me. I’d rather patronize a more professional diner.

I love this place. Good service and food every time I come.

The food was good. The service was good but the wait time…our table was ready at 1:08 pm…Our food was served at 2:25 pm. Reasonably priced too. Our food was hot though.

Food is amazing!!! Service is outstanding and the people there are awesome!!! I love this place

I had eggs, grits, pancakes, bacon and coffee. The eggs, and pancakes were good. The grits were much better than I expected for it to only be cheese grits. The bacon was not cooked well enough and the coffee is just horrible. The tables sit too far back from the booths. I think this place probably was once something great but I give it three stars.

Food was great! The 2 Brothers that was serving us super nice. The hosts was extremely rude (older lady with red hair) almost gone somewhere else because of her rudeness. But we waited it out and glad we did. We'll be back next dallas trip.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! The staff here is always so friendly and helpful.Waffles are made so soft but have a good outer crunch. The pancakes and eggs were very well cooked. Kinda disappointed about the sausage bc they didn't feel like they were cooked all the way but they were and it was just a weird taste. The house burger is HUGE and with the side of fries that are seasoned nicely tastes so good. The all in one waffle was a big shock when it came out and the spice was a surprise but is ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!

Service was great. Presentation was good but the chicken was pretty firm. Just very chewy and was difficult to cut with a knife. The other plate I got was just basics. Pancake, eggs, and sausage which were all great. They also make their own Jelly which was pretty good.

Food was well prepared and plentiful, as it was on my first visit this year, it could've been a bit hotter, was cold by my second bite.
