I'm always up for a good burger, and this place never fails. Friendly staff, dining room is always clean. And the burgers are superb.

Customer service excellent. Chicken fried steak dry, I don't recommend. Someone came to table and asked if all was well. I said no, the chicken fried steak was not good and they just smiled. I asked for mayo because it was lacking. Onion rings and fried mushrooms had a great tempura batter and DELISH!!! They have unsweetened tea that you sweeten yourself and crushed ice. The incredible burger was excellent as well.

An old Oak Lawn favorite opened a second location in Bishop Arts District. I haven't been to either location in several years since I retired and the pandemic has kept me out of the area. The menu is still the same. The employees are friendly and helpful. The service was great. The food was as good as I remembered. And the made fresh daily desserts are still temptingly placed in a line down the counter. I had the red velvet and it was fabulous as usual. They serve frozen adult tasty beverages now.

Great burger and tots, and the butter cake is fabulous. Lots of other cool stuff in the Bishop Arts area too.

If you are at or close to Bishop Arts District, and with cravings for a really good burger...this is your place. Here you will find everything you may expect in a good, traditional and well furnished hamburger joint.Burgers, cheeseburgers, hot dogs, fries (potato & sweet potato) and cakes... everything is delicious. To top it off, the staff is very friendly, the prices are fair, and the location is right at the heart of the neighborhood. In summary, I highly recommend it.Enjoy!

The guys working were so sweet! They closed at 9 last night and they still welcomed up walking in at 9:15. Foods amazing!!

Really neat place in a really neat part of town. You will enjoy walking around the area especially if you finish this very filling burger. I ordered the Texas Cheeseburger Basket. It was two patties, two slices of cheese, perfectly cooked bacon on buttery grilled texas toast. I normally devour everything put in front of me but I made the wise decision to only eat half and save the other half for later. I upgraded to tempura style onion rings for $.50 more. They were ok. But where they lacked was more than made up for in the burger. It was very very tasty. They had some beautiful cakes on display but I was much too full to try them. I’d give this place a 4.75 star rating.

I had the Texas Cheeseburger basket with fries (had to flip a coin to decide between fries and tater tots.) Burger was spectacular!

How have I never eaten here before?? Everything was delicious. I had the bacon hickory burger basket and it was soooo good. The fries were so crispy. The space was clean and well kept, the servers were friendly and attentive. I will definitely be back.

fries need seasoning salt & the wait is very long for a meal.
