Sushi was much better than the steaks. Staff was great
A nice discovery, Downtown Dallas.
Had a great time at the bar. The food and drinks were yummy!!
The appetizers were the best part of the meal. From there, it went downhill. The salmon was overcooked as was the pork chop. The mushroom risotto with the salmon was not good. The sides ordered with the meal came when we were almost finished with our protein. I was really looking forward to the Moonpie dessert. It was not as advertised. Not sure what happened in the past year but the quality has gone downhill. I understand now why it was so easy to secure a reservation. There was only one other table filled during the dinner hour so it was puzzling why the food took so long.
Seriously go just for the apps. The food was delicious and we had to take home leftovers so that was the worst, having to eat this amazing food twondays in a row. Service was great and restaurant is located in a neat little area downtown.
Adam is the best!!
I’ll start off with the positive of our experience at Hawthorn.1. Beautiful restaurantTHAT’S IT!!The lack of service was UNACCEPTABLE!!! You can NOT call yourself a high end restaurant and have this kind of service!! Our party of 10 was completely BAFFLED! TRUST the other reviews(I wish we did)! It was embarrassing!!! In the 1hr and 15min we were there. EVERYONE at the bar with tables complained and left(that should have been our sign)! We waited that long for waters! And our 1st cocktail! CiCi our bartender for the entire restaurant was also our waitress. I felt so bad for her! She got Absolutely no help from management. CICI if you’re reading this, IT WAS NOT YOUR FAULT! Both male & female “managers” were mainly props in the restaurant! I had to let 2 parties know of our experience and they left(as me and our party should have too). The management at this place is a joke. The owner of this place SHOULD be here witnessing what’s happening here EVERY DAY!! We will not nor ever come back to Hawthorns.
I went this past Sunday for brunch, I was a little nervous since it was my first time dining here and we were celebrating Mother's Day and my mom's birthday. Wow, I'm so glad I chose Hawthorn! The food was incredible and drinks were great and the staff was super friendly. More importantly, my mom had a GREAT time! I'll definitely be back
We had a reservation a reservation for 8 guests. The fish was extremely fishy we had to send back the yellow tail tun sashimi which was disappointing. Two of the guests (myself being one) got seafood pasta which was terrible. Very fishy not fresh. The manager noticed neither of us ate the pasta and when he asked if we didn’t like it he said it was because it was “probably too fresh”. That dish was around 32 dollars. I spent $100 and can’t even explain how disappointed I was. Way too pricey for how terrible the food was. The waiter who served us was the only highlight of the night. He was extremely nice and provided great service. and I felt really bad for him. He could shine at a good spot. The manager or whoever was the “too fresh” and doesn’t take of the check, not so much.
The waiter was arrogant and very rude. The food was overcocked and cold.
