We drove all the way here only to find out they’re closed for an hour a day to clean ovens. Wish that was listed on the google times we could have adjusted our time. I love their pizza but we left hungry and disappointed that it wasn’t listed on the google page. UPDATE your response doesn’t help people who aren’t aware of that process and the time it happens. We were told daily for an hour. I would hope it’s mentioned in the site somewhere in bold so people can plan to enjoy your delicious pizza.
After the first restaurant a friend and I tried had an hour wait, we decided to go here to see if the wait was shorter, and was glad to see it was. We got seated instantly and our waiter, Krystal was with us fast. Her service was nothing short of excellent throughout the experience. We decided on having two 12" pizzas and they were the perfect size for us. The food quality was far above expectation as well. At the end our bill was really cheap at $16(for each of us) too, definitely a spot I recommend if you find yourself in uptown Dallas!
Local referred me to this place. I am not big on pizza and I didn't have any expectations...but the service was excellent and the spicy oil made the pizza an entirely different experience for me. Go here! They will take great care of you! If you can't eat in, they will do a take out order.
Grimaldis brick over coal fired pizza in Dallas is absolutely fantastic. Hand tossed dough and great ingredients make an absolute killer pizza. The giant calzones 12 to 18 inches come with mozzarella and ricotta cheese, then you add whatever toppings you want and it comes with a side of marinara. It's a very rich and flavorful combination. The cheese pizza was excellent, sliced mozzarella cheese on first and then splashed with a great pizza sauce, cooked to perfection! Definitely satisfied this fat kid!
Grimaldi's has always been my family's favorite restaurant. This location is the best and the food is always amazing. We were craving some pizza tonight from Grimaldi's. After picking up the pizza, I put it in the oven and got caught up on a phone call which led to the pizza getting charred. I received a call from Drew because I let them know what happened and he was very kind and helpful with letting us get another pizza tomorrow. I can't wait to go pick it up :) Grimaldi's never fails to disappoint. Their customer service has always been excellent!
Food was absolutely delicious however we encountered a very strange server who continued to tell about the psychotropic medications he was on, and used that as an excuse for less than exceptional service. Also peculiar, was the time the restaurant shuts down to clean their oven. We were seated approximately 10 before 4:00 pm and was told the oven would fire back up around 4pm. Note: it must take a while for it to heat back up as we were not served our meal (to include appetizer) until about 4:45pm.
We had a great time. Very good food.
Margherita pizza was amazing. Such a nice place. Great waitress. And for a great price.
Disappointing that the service at this location has diminished so much. We were seated by the hostess and waited about 15 minutes until we had to ask who our server was, as no one had come to the table to collect drink orders - tables around us that had been seated after us already had drinks and ordered their food. Upon finally ordering our (2) pizzas, it seems our server did not submit the order to the kitchen. He came over about 20 minutes after we ordered our pizzas and asked us, “It’s going to be another 15 minutes until the pizzas are ready, is that cool?” The restaurant was not busy at the time.Yikes. Really sad to have had such a poor experience here. This was an excellent restaurant up until recently.
