I was taken here not knowing anything about the place, so there wasn't prejudice.First off, overpriced for what we got. Cocktails were a bit off from the description, plus the portions were insulting. 3 sips in and I was slurping ice.The 3 of us were not impressed with the expensive food, my white rice was less than warm and a bit hard, clearly not fresh.Again, based off the prices and "IG Dallas" vibes, I was expecting more. That chili oil sauce was delicious though, which I ended up soaking my food in...that should hint how good my food was.Anyway, we ate and left as quickly as possible and got tacos.
I will give 4/5 because I felt plates could have been more cleaner.
Beautiful restaurant and yummy food if you are in a pan asian mood! Highly recommend trying the pork steamed buns, they were freshly made and delicious. Honorable mention to the bang bang shrimp, Korean fried chicken and we also really enjoyed the Nems. The restaurant itself is great for a fun night out with friends, coworkers or a date night treat.
Our server was the BEST! She was knowledgeable, kind and so much fun. We really loved and enjoyed our first time at Elephant East. The food was amazing, great portions and the dessert options were delicious. Will definitely be back soon.
Our experience was mediocre.Ambience: The decor and ambience is by far the best thing about the restaurant very romantic and beautifully lavished in eastern decor and design. The food: wasn’t bad at all but it wasn’t exciting. The service: No one was rude but not very helpful. They seemed more concerned about turning tables than providing service.I recently broke my foot and my husband was having issues finding parking (valet was not available as usual) so he dropped me off at the front. They would not seat me until my husband came in.To their credit we were running late however there were open tables and as a party of two vs a larger party I think they could have offered to seat me.Take away: if you’re looking for a cool place to grab quick drinks and maybe an app I don’t think you would be disappointed. If you’re looking for a higher level dinning experience with great service and food that makes you do a little dance in your seat there are better places in Dallas. Especially for the price.
Great place for pan Asian food, love the ambience inside and out. Food was tasty and fresh. Loved the papaya salad, must try for vegetarian. Had options for vegetarian and vegan. Service was good but it took little time to get the table even after reservation, could be more prompt there. Overall good experience.
My daughter and I met two friends there yesterday evening, food was absolutely fantastic! Service was exceptional! The restaurant itself is lovely, Will be back soon! ?????
This is my new favorite restaurant in Dallas!I have been there about 5 times in the last 3 months. Food is amazing. Vibe is luxurious. Service is exquisite. To sum it up…opposite of a Dennys.
Elephant East is definitely a place to visit if you love Pan-Asian food. The waiter went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. He answered any and every question and was very personable. The drinks were strong and delicious. The food was so good. Can't wait to go back.
The restaurant is small but beautiful. So many cute details! The food looks and taste wonderful. My teenage kids had a great time, but it is amazing for a date night.
