Such a cute and ascetically pleasing location. The service was outstandingâ¦the bartender was the one check on the tables and doing the bar and not once missed a beat. The drinks was so good and worth it. The food was delicious too but my chicken was extra charred!

This place used to be really good and bustling. Service was outstanding but the food quality just seemed to be a little off (and most tables were empty). The chilaquiles I ordered were very LIGHT on chicken and HEAVY on tortilla strips. Could be better!
Food was very underwhelming. Never thought Iâd need to ask for seasoning at a Mexican restaurant.

After our entrées we were asked to leave so they could turn the table. Didnât even offer desert, coffee or after dinner drink. I was visiting with friends I hadnât seen in 20 years! It was humiliating because I suggested the place.
Before my business trip to Dallas, I was very excited to see El Bolero had re-opened. I travel to Dallas frequently, and it is one of my favorite spots. The food is always excellent. Bit of trouble when we arrived as our table was just behind the crowded and loud hostess stand. After a tense exchange with the hostess, I asked to speak with the manager (i'm a former restaurant GM). Hated to do it, but it was a working dinner. She seated us away from the front door. BIG thank you. Our server was outstanding!! Despite waiting on a large group nearby, she took excellent care of our table, and did everything with poise. She was as warm, gracious and professional as you could possibly hope for. As always, the food was excellent. My two guests had never been to El Bolero, and they loved everything...the cocktails, the grilled avocado appetizer and their entrees. Two more converts to El Bolero.

The food is fantastic! Not your typical Mexican restaurant- the menu offers a great variety & the food is delicious. Amazing drink menu too. You have to try the watermelon Margarita!
