Disappointing. Drove from Ft Worth to meet friends. Reviews were excellent. Lackadaisical service. Food was overcooked. Biscuit was dry. Friend's food lacked seasoning. Can not recommend.
The food is always amazing as usual but the customer service was outright unacceptable. Employees talking for 15 min at the bar before acknowledging us . I also had to ask for a menu . Constantly waiting for the “waiter” Johanna to check in on us or ask if we wanted a refill .even took forever to bring to go boxes was just sitting around talking!! Unacceptable
I went here on February 28, alone. As soon as I walked in the door, I was stared at by the hostess at the front. I walked in with all my belongings in hand and she immediately assumed I was there for pickup for an Uber or something. I was there for a simple brunch. When I got to my table I assumed everything was fine until they brought out my water. Every single table that was not my color received their water in the normal glasses with ice and lemon. But when I received mine, it was a small, not so clean plastic cup with no ice or lemon. It didn’t set it until I realized every person that came in after me received the exact glass and I was there with the simple little cup. I don’t know but it really rubbed me the wrong way and I won’t be back.
Very delighted to have stumbled upon this place. Our little group was doing a cleanup with 4Ocean at White Rock Lake that morning and, after clearing out a lot of trash, we were hungry. A quick search and we ended up at this delightful cafe full of life and energy. Everyone was helpful, service was great, food was very delicious, and we will definitely go back. Despite being very busy, the wait was still only around 20 minutes, and the food was well worth it. Definitely recommend!
The pricing is okay. The restaurant had good atmosphere. But the menu is just not my style. It is a cross of very healthy and western. The menu right now is pretty limited too. Worth trying. But it is not an IHOP or wafflehouse. It is much more upscale, closer to an original pancake house. It even had tiny as hell water glasses and the bottle of cold water on the table.
I met my best friend here and we had such a great time. We ordered coffee and mamosas, which came quickly, along with the crossant beignets. Everything was just great. I'm grateful they had vegitarian/vegan options, which were great. The food did take a bit longer to get to the table but it was worth it. The staff was friendly, the bathroom was clean and it's a big space so being seated quickly was no issue. I will definatly be back.
My expectations were higher when I saw that they had gluten free options, there was not gluten free options when looking at the pancakes or any sweeter items. Mainly eggs and scrambled were available as gluten free options. Disappointed.
Great food with a great staff. Try everything. The. End.
We keep coming back because service and food are so good. Pancakes, for example, are simply excellent, fluffy and huge, perfectly topped with whipped cream and sliced strawberries. None better anyplace else. And real maple syrup. Frittatas are huge, tasty and topped with salad. Sausage are two fat links, high quality, perfect. Service is gracious, accurate and patient. We personally don't like the dogs in outdoor seating area, but appreciate their accommodation for others. Try to go off-hours to avoid crowds. Recommended.
This place was so cute and quaint! I enjoyed the atmosphere, the food and our waitress Nicole was awesome! I will definitely be back to order some of the other delicious looking items on the menu! Pictured below Polenta Cheese Grits, Chicken and Waffles, Hashbrowns, Lump Crab Benedict (with scrambled eggs), and a Grand Royale for the cocktail! DELICIOUS!
