Everything was great but the Jjamppong didn't have much flavor and it was just salty. It needs more depth of flavor and complexity instead of a salty broth. The black bean noodles were great and the mixed seafood/veggie in mustard sauces was amazing. Overall good though! Will be back to try other dishes and support this restaurant.

The atmosphere and service is nice. The food is below average though. I ate Jja Jang myun, which was only okay or below average. I can see why some people complain it has to much onion and nothing special. I also ate tang-su-yuk, which was well below average. I can see from the color that it has been cooked long time ago. (I went at the lunch time so it must have been cooked a few days earlier) I guess. For the price, I wouldn't recommend the place.

the people here are very nice, when i placed my togo order it was ready really quick, but what i really appreciate is that he first asked when to expect us. this is my father’s go to place for jajjangmein & personally the taste reminds me of back home, the peeps who’ll deliver to your doorstep and pick up the dishes later? you gotta at least try it to go!

Great food !

One of our favorite dining places!!!Kids’ favorite is a noodle with black bean sauce (a.k.a. Jja-jang-myon). My favorite is a spicy noodle soup with mixed sea foods & king prawn (a.k.a. Jjam-pong).We love to order sweet and sour beef with sauce on side. All staffs are very friendly and kind, and dishes are delicious and huge. We always couldn’t help overeating.Great place for family dining. Best in town!!!

Quite cozy and roomy. Kind servers and owner. Taste may vary depending on what kind of flavor you have been familiar. It’s a bit unique and different with such as Zion or Dong-Chun-Hong near Carrollton.Size #1, Taste : hmm well to me, Quality: good

My mom accidentally called the wrong location and said sorry but the person she called started screaming at her. Would not recommend eating here seems like they have horrible customer service.

I don't think I've ever enjoyed a Korean restaurant like Dong Bo Sung.Classic Chinese-Korean dishes like mapo tofu, jia jiang mian, and their soup noodle dishes are all standard enough to be a comfort to those wanting the familiar, but there are noticeably distinctive qualities that differentiate these classic dishes from nearby Chinese-Korean restaurants.Yet, it's not the familiar that keeps bringing me to Dong Bo Sung.To this day, I cannot believe that Dallas has dishes like the braised shredded sea cucumbers with shrimp and pork, fish ball with special sauce, and jellyfish salad. On a good day, the chef matches the quality that I've only seen in the finest Chinese/Korean restaurants. The braised shredded sea cucumbers with shrimp and pork are more comforting than any stew or curry that I've had. The fish ball with special sauce (yes, unfortunate name, I know), easily outperforms my favorite Hokkien dishes in Taiwan and Fujian- something that I would NEVER say lightly. The jellyfish salad is clearly not everyone's favorite, but to anyone familiar with North-Eastern Chinese cooking, this is a MUST.Dong Bo Sung doesn't offer standard Korean classics like bulgolgi, bimbimbap, and the like, but there are plenty of restaurants that DO fit that criteria. No, Dong Bo Sung is for the adventurous- those willing to try new things. I'll admit myself, the chef doesn't hit a homerun every time- but when it hits, it's like tasting magic.Every time I fly back to Dallas, I always make sure that this is the first restaurants I go to, because no other restaurant in the world has food like this.

This place used to be one of my family's favorite restaurants until today. My family visited the restaurant a few weeks ago and noticed change in the taste of the food so we were definitely disappointed. However, we wanted to give it another chance so we revisited the restaurant today and it was worse than what we had experienced a few weeks back. The food wasn't as good as it used to be and the noodle was extremely soft and mushy, so we called the waiter to ask him about it and he said that they were having some issues with the noodle machine. He walked up to the owner sitting at the counter to notify him about the situation and the owner just completely ignored what he had to say. He gets up and walks right by our table like nothing happened. This is one of the worst things we've seen from someone running a restaurant. WE WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS PLACE EVER AGAIN!!
