This is an authentic 설렁탕 place. Their services are impressive and truly amazing. Three different types of Kimchi couldn't be better. Soups and meats were also very great. Highly recommended?
I loved it here. From the banchan to the seollong tang to the service, everything was so enjoyable. The owner asked if it was our first time here, and made sure to explain everything on the menu and make recommendations. He was very energetic and fun, and made sure we were doing okay with our food/needed refills. The food- the kimchi was one of the best I've ever had..I had a little sweetness to it that paired well with the meat. The soup was so rich and flavorful, and they gave salt on the side to season to our own taste. Definitely worth a visit!!
Google’s review leads me there. Overall mixed experience with pros and cons. We ordered one mixed beef bone soup and one brisket soup.Pros:(1) Unique restaurant focused in ox bone and meat soups(2) Robotic delivery cart is a wah-factor. Very cool(3) Purple rice is a must-try.Cons(1)Kimchi is so-so. Only three dishes. Compared with other Korean restaurants, their kimchi needs a lot improvement in terms of quality and variety(2) Last but not least, their pre-cooked beef is not fresh. I can taste the aging. If this restaurant is specialized in beef and Ox bone, the meat is the core.
My sister was craving Korean Seollong Tang so we decided to try Doma. The restaurant is located off of Harry Hines in a humble area. The Oxbone soup is a milky white, plain broth that comes with rice noodles and meat. You will need to add salt, pepper, and green onions to taste. Your meal is served with cold barley tea. The banchan sides at Doma are all very tasty as well!
Best beef soup ever!!! The dipping sauce rocks too! And the waitress is super nice!
Seolleong Tang is a traditional Korean dish that translates into ox bone soup. While the dish appears simple at first glance, the work that goes into creating the broth should not be taken for granted. Doma Seolleongtang is a gem in the Dallas area for those looking for Korean soul food. The owners and staff take pride in their ox bone soup and make sure every guest has a splendid experience while at the restaurant. The broth is clean and yet so rich and full of flavor, and while the soup can be had with just a bowl of rice, the side dishes truly enhance the ox bone soup without taking away from the hard work put into the broth. If someone were to ask me for my favorite restaurant in Dallas, Doma would be my reply with no hesitation. I look forward to coming in every time and leave with my bowls looking like this every visit without fail. I realize that my review lacks pictures of the actual food, but I assure you that it was my pure excitement that made me rush into my meal without taking a “before” picture. Please stop by and experience this amazing food for yourself!
Simple Korean beef soup but very very tasty. This place is near the old Korean town and right beside highway 35. Very unassuming place but the food is so good. We chose #8 spicy beef soup and #9 combo beef ribs soup. Both were excellent. The homemade kimchi and other small dishes come with the meal and were way better than the ones you buy from super market. The purple rice was a great plus. Will come again.
Numbers 2 and 10 were really good! The kimchi was also a favorite. Staff was friendly and helpful as this was our first time trying it.
The soup is thick, great taste. The kimchi is delicious. I finished half bowl of rice with the kimchi before the main course comes.
Delicious comfortable soups with friendly staff! This was my first time having ox bone soup so the staff was really helpful to explain how to eat the dish. If this is your first time eating this dish, make sure to add salt to your dish (they have a bowl of salt at each table) and plenty of green onions! The banchan selection here is great (my favorite was the pickled radish). The soup is a perfect for when you want a healthier meal eating out and would be perfect for when you’re ill. When I get sick (knock on wood), I will make sure to order this to-go!
