I recommend there brisket and also there pulled pork
I have been eating here for over 15 years but service has gone downhill to the point where it's total incompetence now. Latest is I ordered 2 meals online and they accepted the order and gave me a ready time. I got to the resturant and they didn't have any more food except for brisket and no sides. This is the third strike for me and I'm finished with Dickies. Even with the free gift cards, you can't use them because of the poor management.
If you like overpriced, under portioned, and dry brisket this is the place for you.They even replaced the creamed spinach I ordered with Mac and cheese without asking (I can't eat Mac and cheese due to dietary restrictions). I ordered online so didn't even realize until I got back home.There is a Spring Creek BBQ about 5 miles further north on 75 which blows this place out of the water.
The three meat plate was tremendous. I always come here and the staff takes very good care of me and I cannot complain. I always enjoy hanging out here as well at the bar or in the dining area. The staff will always make sure you are taken care of. I definitely recommend a stop here in the oldest restaurant in Dallas that has been operating in its original location since 1941.
Walked in at approximately 6pm yesterday and was very excited to try this location. After waiting for my time to order, I thought I heard the previous customer being told "They are out of ribs" so I waited and started my order and it was confirmed they were out of ribs, burnt ends and my business for the day. So I hope to try them when I return. Is it just that good or is it poor planning?
The amount of violations of this place is egregious. The lady who is currently on the clock is bragging about how she smoked too much weed and how she can’t focus. Our simple order is now taken 45 minutes of wait time. Because they keep forgetting our order.They are allegedly out of BBQ sauce and have not even apologized for me waiting.I’m very upset to see multiple people walk out who ordered after me. And still got our order wrong. Terrible place of business.
Just ordered $80.23 worth of food. It was delivered incomplete. Not one drop of sauce. No sides. And the brisket was incorrect. I have called the restaurant seven times and can’t even get them to answer the phone. Horrible. So disappointed. I will tell everyone I can to stay away.
I hope the other restaurants have a better Manager than this one this one didn’t knows nothing neither person serving or the person restaurant knew nothing I won’t ever go there again
I had the 3 meat plate with pork burnt ends, sliced brisket and ribs with a side of cream spinach and baked potato casserole. The food was delicious and also great friendly service.
Has a three meat plate. More than I could finish. The ribs fell off the bone. Truly delicious.
