The waitress/manager, (not sure cause she wasn't wearing the uniform) was incredibly aggressive and disrespectful. She was continually yelling at me, telling me that I couldn't do things that I normally do in other places, like use my freaking computer and drink my own iced tea!!! When I asked her why, she said it's not a library. That's something I do regularly at other places with no issues what so ever. She completely ruined my day. I left without ordering anything and will never return!!

‼️‼️ Me and my family waited at the table 22 minutes and no one ever came to even ask us if we needed a drink. Went up and asked to speak to the manager and she said well we’re a little bit busy so we can not deal with you right now. Told her it’s been 22min. She said just keep waiting‼️ Told her the waitress walked by me multiple time and even gave us a menu. But ignored us there after! ⛈Worst experience ever. ⛈ Used to go to Desta almost weekly but now under new management this place is trash. They don’t care about the customers anymore and have no respect for anyone ? will never recommend this place to anyone‼️

Desta was a beautiful experience. We've had Ethiopian food numerous times, but none better than Desta. It was beyond delicious! The staff was very friendly and helpful, making recommendations to help us as we explored their cuisine. Simon was amazing! We can't wait to go back.

I really loved the food. I'm not an expert in Ethiopian food, but I've been told that this very authentic. Will come back here again!

Fun spot! Delicious and healthy food… great options for both meat lovers and vegetarians.

Ordering over the phone... CUSTOMER SERVICE was great... When I arrived. I literally stood around the bar until I just gave myself a seat... And still had to catch someone walking by to let them know that I had placed an order... BEAUTIFUL people... BEAUTIFUL place... But it's CHEERS, so if you're not NORM!!! If they don't know your name... Or face... (and although I was born and raised in Texas people ALWAYS mistake me for Ethiopian) Go find you a corner ???

Delicious food and a nice outdoor area.

We have never had Ethiopian food before. It was a fun and delicious experience and the owner and her sister are great! The food is reasonably priced.

It would be hard to find a better group of people, always smiling and happy to please. I had waited years to have Ethiopian food....me postponing, etc....but they lived up to the reputation of this unique and special cuisine. I was soooo full when I left! Ask for the spicy beef...i cant remember the exact name.

Authentic Ethiopian food served traditionally. Great food that reminds me of the Red Sea in DC.
