If you are hungry, then you should definitely come here. One of the best places in Dallas. Old and famous Deli News. Always fresh products and, most importantly, excellent chefs cook superbly. Get a taste of New York.
This restaurant is truly five stars when it comes to the food and the people. I cannot say enough about how good it is. I'd give ten stars if they let me. The people working here are so nice and interactive. Virtually everyone knows each other including the customers. They talk, chat and call each other by name. It's a rare treat to find a big city place where everybody knows your name. The food is awesome. It's a very large menu. The guy sitting next to me drove all way from uptown Dallas to have Matzah Balls. He comes once a week. While this is one of my all-time favorite restaurants, I only visit once a year. The prices are just too much. I know this is a tiny mom and pop trying to make it, but $28 for a reuben sandwich, side of potato salad and tea is too much. It's not affordable for the common Joe to come back here every week.
What's quaint like every movie deli experience and has special waiters that make you want to come back? This place, my wife and I shared stuffed cabbage ,a chicken BLT with Cole slaw.I asked the waiter for a good appetizer and he surprised us. His words "I will take care of you". Things like that make you feel warm inside and it helped that we told him we had no restrictions and were up for adventure. The cabbage had a warm broth poured over it. Likely what stewed the vegetables and we even got our baby a few bites of the soft carrots.Sandwiches in a deli seemed like the way to go and Cole slaw was the next side of interest so we jumped for it. That chicken breast was exploding with herb flavors and seasonings that made mayonnaise on the bun unnecessary. Bacon and red onions added just enough flavor and texture variety to make that meal dance. I finished my half and looked hungrily at my wife's plate to see if she finished hers lol.Eat at this deli for 3 reasons:1.the staff are the warmest I've met in quite some time.2. You'll have a quiet moment to eat and think if you're alone and if you're not you'll enjoy a nice atmosphere with your friends3. The food you get will make you curious about the rest of the menu. It sure made me want to go back.
great authentic N.Y./Chicago deli
I am so excited I found you! The Matzo Ball soup was amazing. The customer service was stellar. I can't wait to go back and try other things. The experience was like coming home. Thank you!
This place was very unique. It looks like somebody picked it up and took it from New York and dropped it in the middle of Plano. What impressed me most as a delivery driver is the kindness of the staff they offered me a drink because the food wasn't ready. After having some hot tea I was looking at their pastries which they had a great selection. When I went to go buy it they gave it to me and said thank you for being a delivery driver. I'm definitely going back for a Reuben soon.
Great food and top notch service!
Excellent service. The server was so accommodating of our three young kids. Ultra patient and friendly. And the food was excellent, too. We had the #1 (corned beef and pastrami), the BLT, the latkes, and the Matzo ball soup.
This place has some really good food. I got the Turkey Ruben and I was only able to eat half. The prices are a little much, but the food quality is awesone
I came here for a hot pastrami but I've never had it on Rye. I'm from California and I would go to The Hat and get my pastrami on a 6 inch sub roll. But I must say this pastrami on Rye is pretty freaking tasty and fresh. I'll definitely be back to try their other sandwiches. Definitely go here for quality and quantity.
